lolarishtish is looking for a book! And I’m so thrilled you’ve been with us, and have decided to make your appearance!! We’d be happy to help you find this one. 🙂 Though I don’t have much experience reading Dystopian (I’m more into Post Apocalyptic) so I’m opening this up to our book crew.
Also, at first I immediately thought of The Hunger Games (I LOVED that series!!) but I don’t recall language being an issue in the sectors.
She asks:
hey there Maryse!
I have been a silent stalker of your blog for a few years now and thought that I should make an appearance now because I am super frustrated over a book.
I read this dystopian book a couple of years back wherein the society is divided into a few sections and people spoke different languages. The main heroine somehow knows the language of royalty and the guards find out and take her to the palace (not sure about this part).
I think the book is popular but I might be wrong.
I’d like it if you could help me because it is very bothersome to not be able to remember the name of the book.
Anyone have a guess?
Barb: Could it be The Pledge by Kimberly Derting? It sounds similar but not exactly the same, each social rank has a different language and the main character can speak/understand all of them.
VikiT: Hi, I think it might be The Pledge series by Kimberly Derting. At least the premise fits…
