Sarah needs our book help! O)h this one sounds wonderful, and somewhat angsty!!
She asks:
Hello Maryse,
I found your site recently thatβs why I am not quite sure if I have to message your that way. But I am looking for a book that I read a few months ago and I forgot the name of the book because I deleted it on my phone.
It was about a man and a woman I think it was set around the 19th century, I am not quite sure but I think the man is a cowboy and he has a ranch, his wife died and left him with their newborn son or daughter. Because his child can only take breast milk he has to find a woman who can breastfeed his child but there is only one woman in the town who can do that because there arenβt any other mothers with newborn babyβs.
The woman who can help him is poor and was raped by several manβs, thatβs why she was pregnant but I think her child died after it was born.
The other town people think that she likes to sleep around but they donβt know the truth that she was raped. The man ask her if she could breastfeed his child, she agrees and he takes her to his home. His family and his staff are against it because of the rumors about her. She takes care of his child and they fall in Love.
I would be very thankful if you could help me.π₯°
Anyone have a guess?
Jeanie: could it be Healing Montana Sky by Debra Holland? The breastfeeding part is spot on but the woman is from a tribe and not necessarily a woman who sleeps around.
Mere: Sunset Embrace by Sandra Brown
Janine: Iβm pretty sure itβs The Milch Bride by J. Biery. The h had been raped by several men but I canβt remember the reason why she would not reveal this, preferring to let people think she was a slut.
Mugdha: I think it is The Milch Bride by J.R. Biery
Sara: Yes, thank you it was The Milch Bride π₯°
Maryse: YAY!!! Thanks to all the wonderful guesses, and another one solved makes me happy!
