From what I can remember, the hero was the best friend of the heir to a particular family and the matriarch of the family (who is very brutal) tasks him to find a way for her sons to get the most loyal and perfect wives.

This is all I can remember but I know that it ends with a happy ending and that it might be the beginning of a series
