ALI HAZELWOOD ALERT!!
A “new-to-us” author that so many in our crew are LOVING!!!! And a new book is coming out in just a few months!!
Mony: Steminist novella series by Aly Hazelwood – re-reads. I love this series! All of the books have an h who works in the STEM world, and guys who are hot, hot, hot, taaall, kinda awkward, quiet & some times grumpy. My favourite trope. 🙂 …The MMCs are hot & the woman smart & 5⭐
JR: I just finished Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood. I really liked it but wish it was a full story rather than a novella.
Lisa C: I just finished The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. I’m pretty sure Tasha recommended it maybe?????
I have not gotten into a book this well in awhile. Slow burn deliciousness!!!!!!!! The writing is very good. It’s a fake dating trope but it was done so well. I loved the academia background of the story. Made it so interesting. All the h’s POV!!!!!! Oh and it makes you wonder what he’s thinking big time. I borrowed it from the library but I kinda want to read it again. I loved it that much!!!!!!!Lisa C: I didn’t know Ali Hazelwood had more books out. Love Hypothesis is one of my favorites! I plan on binging these novellas ASAP. Thank you so much!
Tasha J: I started The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood a couple days ago and really dug into it more yesterday and I finished it!! Binged it all day, couldn’t put it down. Feels so good, I missed that. And a romance at that. I feel like I don’t read enough of them anymore, but when I do and it’s a good one, I feel so happy!
So, back to the book, I smiled and laughed throughout. Loved the academic setting and science talk, it wasn’t done so bad that it went over my head and Olive was down to Earth and relatable.
And the fake dating trope can go one of 2 ways with me, I really liked it here. Dr. Carlsen was the perfect mix of like grumpy-ish, but sweet, and a little mysterious, and I really loved the banter and dynamic between the 2. For me, it was a little bit of a slow burn. Or at least I loved the build up to that first really good all in the feels scene, ya know? It was just enough without being too much. Conflict was a little annoying, but most of them are. Didn’t deter my joy. Lol! Loved the writing in this one and would love to read more by the author.
Erin: I have torn through the books she has released in the past two weeks! Loving her style.
About book #1:
A USA Today Bestseller!
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new steamy, STEMinist novella…
A scientist should never cohabitate with her annoyingly hot nemesis—it leads to combustion.
Mara, Sadie, and Hannah are friends first, scientists always. Though their fields of study might take them to different corners of the world, they can all agree on this universal truth: when it comes to love and science, opposites attract and rivals make you burn…
As an environmental engineer, Mara knows all about the delicate nature of ecosystems. They require balance. And leaving the thermostat alone. And not stealing someone else’s food. And other rules Liam, her detestable big-oil lawyer of a roommate, knows nothing about. Okay, sure, technically she’s the interloper. Liam was already entrenched in his aunt’s house like some glowering grumpy giant when Mara moved in, with his big muscles and kissable mouth just sitting there on the couch tempting respectable scientists to the dark side…but Helena was her mentor and Mara’s not about to move out and give up her inheritance without a fight.
The problem is, living with someone means getting to know them. And the more Mara finds out about Liam, the harder it is to loathe him…and the easier it is to love him.
