Amy A. Bartol – The Premonition Series Reading Order

by Maryse on December 9, 2012 · 26 comments

in Reading Order Guide:

I’ve been receiving a steady stream of recommendations for this one! Paranormal YA, but from what I’ve been told, college kids, and angst. Sounds good to me, and the latest book in the series (#5) has just been released and now THE SERIES IS COMPLETE!

Kelly: Hi Maryse!  I don’t know if you have heard anything about the Premonition Series by Amy A. Bartol, but I am just finishing the 3rd book and I’m freaking out a little bit because I am going to have some serious withdrawls waiting for book 4.  One soulmate, one hero and one anti-hero….and they are all rather delectable. Yummy!

Cheryl: I dont know if you have read them but i would recomend every one to read the premonition series by amy a bartol. i fell in love with them and cant wait till the 4th comes out, its YA but the tension and romance is really intense (i think) in them.

Kim: Incendiary by Amy A Bartol was also released.  It is the 4th book in the Premonition series.  This series is one of my favorite paranormal series of all time!  Check it out!  It has everything we all love including angels, vampires, romance with a love triangle and, of course, tear your heart out angst!

Tammie: I have read all of the Amy Bartol books!!!  They are extremly well written, I swear I didn’t sleep for a week while reading them.  Could not put them down!!!!.

Jennifer: … The Premonition Series by Amy A Bartol. I just finished book 1 “Inescapable” and oh man, I have found a new love… they are YA PNR according to the author’s website, but the series takes place in college, so its not so young. I don’t want to tell you what happens, because its worth reading to find out.

Simone: THIS!!! I cannot express how much this series means to me!! And I can’t even imagine the END. Gah…. #TeamReed

About book #1:

My name is Evie Claremont and this was to be the making of me–my freshman year of college. I had been hoping that once I had arrived on Crestwood’s campus, the nightmare that I’ve been having would go away. It hasn’t.

I may be an inexperienced seventeen-year-old, but I’m grounded…sane. I look for rational explanations to even the strangest circumstances. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he’s near, I feel an attraction to him–a magnetic kind of force pulling me towards him. I know what you’re thinking…that sounds fairly awesome. Yeah, it would be…if he liked me, but Reed acts as if I’m the worst thing that has ever happened to Crestwood…or him. But get this, for some reason every time I turn around he’s there, barging into my life.

What is the secret that he’s keeping from me? I’m hoping that it’s anything but what I suspect: that he’s not exactly normal…and neither am I. So, maybe Crestwood won’t be the making of me, but it could be the breaking of me. I’ve been left to wonder if the dark future my dream is foretelling is…inescapable.

Woot, thank you for posting this. I’ve wanted something paranormal and this fits the bill. I almost started Darynda Jones but this has such high ratings I’m trying it out!

My favorite Paranormal Romance series! The characters are fantastic. Just finished book 4. You won’t be disappointed. The story just keeps getting better with each book.

It really is a fantastic paranormal romance series, one of the few in that category that I still read. You’ll love them Maryse, for sure.

Doesn’t it sound like the beginning of the fallen series? Is it also about angels? Or what?

Kim December 10, 2012 at 12:40 PM

Maryse, I am sooo glad that you finally mentioned this series. Like Beverly said, the series gets better with each book. Please read the series and lets us know what you think.

Sarah, I read the Fallen series but loved the Premonition series so much more. I read the first three books back to back and was actually relieved that the fourth book was not out yet. I was so shaken and needed to catch my breath! Give it a try. You will not be disappointed!

Hi Amy,

Just to let you know that I have read your books and found them absolutely incredible. I could not put them down either and guess what!!! I turn 56 this year. So I guess your readers ages don’t really count. I love reading and I am really happy that I happened across your books whilst researching on the internet. I am also waiting for the new release….. lots of Blessings.
