Beth Kery – Because You Are Mine Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

This is a new series I’ve been hearing a lot about. A little unusual in format, since the story is being released, piece by piece (almost like chapter by chapter) once a week. However, I’ve received a few recommendations for this one. It’s been suggested as an option for “What to Read After Fifty Shades”.

Note: As excited as I am to read this one (it looks right up my alley!), I think I will wait for the entire “book” to be completed/released and enjoy it in one fell swoop. We’ll call my impending read-a-thon “Because I’m too impatient to wait for each piece” ;) However if you are reading along, as the story is released, I’d love to hear what you think!

Brenda asked: “Because You Are Mine Part I: Because You Tempt Me by Beth Kery is said to be good.. Has anyone read these?”

Claudia says: “I am starting the series ” Because you are mine” by Beth Kery, 8 parts series. Read part 1 already and is goooood!!!”

Vichara recommends it too!: “…  I also read this book called “Because You Are Mine” by Beth Kery on my ibooks app!!  the only problem is the publishing company is only releasing bits/parts of the book at at time (2 chapters at at time/week)!!  it’s very frustrating to wait for the next part… but this story kinda gives me that Fifty “feel” i’ve been searching for!!  i definitely recommend it if you haven’t read it yet…”

About the series:

Because You Are Mine, an exciting tale of erotic obsession. When they met, the instant attraction was unmistakable…a purely, exquisitely physical charge. Succumbing to their desires is the easy part. But when passion opens the door to an intimacy neither has known, can a man known for being unbendable learn to love?

The author includes this note: “Please note that this is one novel presented in serial format. Each ‘part’ consists of two hefty chapters. In all, they will tell Ian and Francesca’s steamy love story.”

Can’t wait to read them but will probably wait until it’s released completely :)

Minha August 19, 2012 at 6:01 PM

$1.99 per every other chapter looks like a lot, is it really that good???

Maryse August 19, 2012 at 6:20 PM

See that’s the thing… I’m going to wait it out and see, before jumping in. It appears the first part sure has some good attention, but she’s only released 3 parts so far.

Lise August 19, 2012 at 6:30 PM

I know, what is with these authors that just release chapters or volumes incrementally? H.R Ward is doing this with her new book Secrets and Shaina Richmond did it with her book Safe With Me. Luckily I read Safe With Me when 7 of the 8 volumes were published, but I just read volume 1 of Secrets and am put off for paying $2.99 for 85 pages of a who knows how many pages yet to come. Grrrrrr!

Vichara August 19, 2012 at 6:44 PM

Yes, it is very good so far!! I’ve read Parts I-III already and I am dying to read the rest!! In hindsight, I wouldn’t have started reading had I known beforehand that each part only included two chapters at a time and that I would have to wait a whole week for the next part :/ I was flippin pissed when part I ended at the end of chapter 2. I was like, “WHAT?!! That’s it?!! I have to wait a whole week for part II? OMG!!” I am very frustrated right now waiting for part IV!! I definitely recommend this series for post-Fifty Shades reading!!

Kristi August 19, 2012 at 6:59 PM

Just finished part III….cannot wait for the next part!!

Karen August 19, 2012 at 8:29 PM

At 1.99 for 2 chapters….I think I will pass….the book will cost $20! It can’t be that good!

Sarah August 19, 2012 at 9:19 PM

I agree with Karen, it sounds like it could be promising but almost $2.50 for an average of 60 pages? That’s a little too steep for me! I think I’ll just stick with some of the full length novels I’ve been wanting to read, I can get most of those for less than $5!

I wish I waited for the whole series to be published before I read the first 3. Super cliffhanger!!! ;)
Maryse, I’m sure you’re gonna like this series.

I am so conflicted now. I had this on my TBR list and didn’t even know what was the deal about all these parts, now that explains it…

Sara Minor August 21, 2012 at 12:10 AM

I read the first book and have decided I’m not paying for all these books! They are extremely short and not priced high for minimal pages. I wpuld reconsider if they were .99. I’m passing on this series.

Sara Minor August 21, 2012 at 12:10 AM

Correction: priced high

Takisha August 21, 2012 at 1:45 AM

I wanted to wait but once I started the sample….i just had to dive in….currently waiting on Part 5! Really really good!!! Ian reminds me of Christian, Gideon, and Gabriel wrapped up in one!

Stacey August 22, 2012 at 12:07 PM

Does anyone know when the whole book will be released? I am reluctant to by a chapter or two at a time. Like Karen stated it would be about $20 after all is said and done.

Dorothy August 24, 2012 at 8:17 PM

Re Takisha’s comment Aug. 21
I know who Christian & Gideon are.
Who is Gabriel?

Takisha August 24, 2012 at 8:39 PM

Hello Dorothy!
Gabriel from Gabriel’s Inferno (book 1) Gabriel’s Rapture (book 2)
I thought those were really good books as well :)

I’ve been reading the weekly installments just waiting on the last two. Gotta say the waiting hasn’t worked for me. I loose the story line from week to week. Wouldn’t do it again. I’ll need yo reread for it to make sense. I never would have paid $16 for it.

Chassity September 18, 2012 at 3:12 PM

I didn’t like it. Ian was such an ass the entire book.

Takisha Bodley September 19, 2012 at 1:03 AM

It was good but not $16 good..more like $2.99 maybe $3.99 good and i know im gonna be pissed when the book gets released as one for that price..oh well

Jessica October 27, 2012 at 9:37 PM

I liked the series…. I read all 8 parts but felt there should of been more parts. The way it ended for me was not good at all. Just kind of loses its steam and flops towards the end.

Hi Maryse.

So I was wondering if you had heard of “Anything he wants” by sara Fawkes? Same sort of premise as above but it’s just been released in a full novel and is intensely dark and sexual but with a sense of humor too so one minute i was holding my breath and the next i was laughing out load from shock or just plain enjoyment, well, I’m still trying to figure that one out but bottom line. I loved it. NOTHING will ever be fifty shades but this is very fun, very sexy and an awesome read!!

Kat December 3, 2012 at 4:36 AM

Ohhhh…. I just remembered another one… Have you heard of the Submissive by Tara Sue Me? It was originally twilight fan fiction as was our beloved 50 shades, and there appears to be some argument over who was first EL James or Ms Sue Me. All I know is I devoured ‘the Submissive’ in one night and the next book out is called ‘the Dominant’, the same story from his perspective with the final book called ‘the Training’. This book was intense and a little squirmy to read sometimes because it gets intense really early but it draws you in. I cried and laughed and blushed and loved every minute of it!!! Alpha Males to the nth degree *sigh*. Also for a bit more of the BDSM/young ingenue tone look out for Sadie Matthews’ trilogy. Fire After Dark is book 1(fifty-esque). Happy reading!!!

dee December 8, 2012 at 1:16 PM

anyone know there a way to purchase all together as bundle ?

Kat December 8, 2012 at 9:04 PM

Yes it’s a book called Because you are mine. You can pre-order now from Book Depository and other places. It will be out in just over 1.5 months. I don’t think you can get the whole thing as an e-book yet though. Hope this helps. K
