Caroline Hanson – Valerie Dearborn Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

I noticed these books a couple of days ago on Amazon, when I saw how many 5 star reviews they had (TONS!!). And then fellow reader Desiree contacted me, and convinced me that they were a must-read. And they’re bargain priced, too!

“You MUST read LOVE IS DARKNESS & LOVE IS FEAR by Caroline Hanson…alpha male x2 .. vampire. Can’t believe you do not have it on your site!! You will LOVE LOVE LOVE”

TWO Alpha vampires. Now Desiree. How did you know that would appeal to me? Two bossy, arrogant, immortal, powerful and gorgeous alpha males.  Nope. Not my type at all. Tee hee!! ;)

About book#1:

Valerie Dearborn wants a cotton candy life, but it’s more like a puffer fish: pointy, unusual, and—if not prepared exactly right—deadly.

In London for graduate school, Val knows she’s finally free. Her father and ex-almost-boyfriend are back in California and she’s out of the Vampire hunting biz for good. Or is she?

She draws the attention of Lucas, a 1600 year old Vampire, and King to his kind. He’s also wicked hot. As golden as Lucifer, and just as tempting, he makes Valerie an offer she can’t refuse— help him find out if the Others (Empaths, Fey and Werewolves) still exist or he’ll stop protecting those she loves.

Lucas tells her that Empaths were a Vampire’s biggest weakness before going extinct hundreds of years ago. While the Fey or a Werewolf might kill a Vampire, an Empath could enslave them, seducing or harming with emotions at will. The one detail he leaves out? Valerie is an Empath.

And after 1600 years of an emotionless existence, Lucas wants Valerie like a recovering alcoholic wants a wine cooler.

Can she keep those she loves alive, stop Lucas from munching on her, survive a fanged revolution and still find a way to have that boring, normal life she’s always wanted? Probably not, but boy is she gonna try!

I finished Love is Darkness about 4 am earlier this week. Once I started I couldn’t put it down! Christmas is keeping me from devouring Love is Fear but it is next up on my TBR. I did take the time to try to find out when Book 3 will be out and it looks like she is still writing it. Considering the cliffhanger moment at the end of Darkness, if Fear leaves off the same way I’m going to be DYING for 3.

I was just talking to Sherry tonight and saying how I needed a great vamp series. I love your bad boys, but they are only human, and sometimes you want aomething a little more than human. I shall download these and start them soon. thanks Maryse. xxx

I just found these books on amazon and I LOVE THEM!! I am so mad the next one does not come out till May the cliffhanger was fantastic. I was mad at everyone but her in the end and excited to read what is going to happen next. I love when you can find a book that brings out all your emotion…that is the difference between a good author and a great author.
