The Heller series of books features the crazy and sizzling adventures of Tilly Chalmers as a security officer and her very complicated relationship with her beautiful, mysterious (and scary) boss, Heller, owner of Heller’s Security & Surveillance. The Heller books are fairly tongue-in-cheek and not for people who want serious and important themes in their reading. Sorry.

I finished “Heller” , is good and funny.. You just can’t stop laughing at Tilly . There’s this part @ the beginning of the book when Heller is interviewing Tilly for the job, I don’t remember laughing so much.
Read this series a while ago and loved it. Can’t wait for the next one.

Read all four and can’t for the fifth to come out. There were many of times I wanted to strangle Tilly, but that’s a sign of a good book. ;). Man, Tilly is made of steel….what she doesn’t go thru!
Loved, loved the the Heller series! I think I am totally in love with Heller. I can not wait for the next book.
Love this book so I bought the whole series! Then I found out she’s Australian (like me!) and lives in Brisbane (same city as me!). I don’t know why but her being ‘local’ made the books even more appealing for me.

I just did an all-nighter with this book. I actually put the book down (only once i’d finished it, just 32 minutes before Johns morning alarm went off. I got totally absorbed in it. LOVED it
In places it kind of reminds me of Kristen Ashleys Dream Man Series – but in my opinion its better. I loved the humour and the gradual ‘thawing’ of Heller as the book progressed.
Straight on to book 2!

I started with the Heller series because the first book is free, well now I am waiting for the 5th in the Heller series and the 3rd in the Little Town series I am hooked on JD Nixon . Can’t wait for Sep 30/12 for the next Little Town and the end of the year for Hellers 5th.

Do you know by any chance if book 5 is the final book in this series or is it ongoing? I’m already on book 4 and I started these on Tuesday!!!! OOoops! Nevermind – I just found JD Nixon’s blog and I am very excited to see that she thinks there will probably end up being about 7-8 books in the Heller series! That’s soo awesome — except that means lots of waiting!!!! Oh well I’m sure it will be worth it in the end… The next series I read has to be complete — I need some closure!! Does anyone else feel like they are in constant waiting for the “next book” in the series to come out?!?!?! LOL

Just read the first one and im hooked!! not at all what i expected and when i read the description of the book didnt think i would get into it but downloaded the first book because it was free and now im IN!

I blew threw all 4 books and all I have to say is the back and forth was killing me! I really like the series but, wow. I didnt know if I wanted hug or strangle them both! I think my breathing has finally regulated and I can now function normally. I think I’ll wait for the rest of the books before I continue the series. Waiting for each one may kill me.
Just finished Book 1 in this series and I’m hooked, had to go buy the rest! Reading the synopsis I didn’t think I was going to like it….but damn I was wrong. Was hooked from the get go! They are surprisingly funny too.. The hot tub scene had me giggling to myself 🙂

Read Blood Ties first, then the other ones in that series. Am now on Book 4 of the Heller series. I just love these books, great storylines, difficult to put down and the way that both Tilly and Tess are so stubborn and get into scrapes. The guys in the books sound so hot as well. Will have to keep buying when new ones come out.

Sadly, it looks as though J. D. has stopped writing. She has deleted her blog and just today made a vague comment on Facebook about finishing the two series in the future (no timetable given).
