Kallypso Masters – Rescue Me Series Reading Order

by Maryse on June 15, 2012 · 24 comments

in Reading Order Guide:

Shelley brought this one to my attention:

“Hey Girls, Has anyone read the Rescue Me series by Kallypso Masters? I am half way through the first book and really loving it, so far it seems to have it all with lotsa potential.”

Sara is enjoying it too:

The first one is called Master at Arms. This one is like the back story of the three “Masters” who were all in the Marines. You have to read this first and then the individual stories about the Masters, Adam, Damian and Marco. Just starting Marco’s story. I’m really liking it so far. It’s not too heavy.

and CarolDee really recommends them!

“As far as the sugar-kink/BDSM  thing I would suggest the Masters At Arms series by Kallypso Masters. Great male and female leads, wonderful stories, and smile worthy HEAs :)

About the series:

Masters at Arms begins the journey of three men, each on a quest for honor, acceptance, and to ease his unspoken pain. Their paths cross at one of the darkest points in their lives. As they try to come to terms with the aftermath–forging an unbreakable bond–will they ever truly become masters of their own fates? Or would fate become masters of them?

Author tidbits from her blog:

  • “Orlando Bloom inspired Master Damian Orlando in NOBODY’S PERFECT”
  • “SAVANNAH GENTRY (SAVI BAKER) Inspiration for the young Savannah (NOBODY’S PERFECT)”
  • “Mark Harmon inspired Master Adam in NOBODY’S HERO”
  • “Finnish Goth singer Tarja Tarunen inspired Karla in NOBODY’S HERO”
  • “Italians Monica Bellucci and Raoul Bova provided the inspiration for Angelina and Master Marc in NOBODY’S ANGEL”

Hi Maryse,

I’m currently reading “Nobody’s Hero” from this series, and I just wanted to make sure that my eyes aren’t seeing things, but in the kindle version of the novel, at 92%- location 6161 out of 6700, there is a sentence during Adam and Karla’s wedding where it says: “They walked over to Anderson who stood with his petite Filopina wife and a little girl who must be almost ten now.”

I just wanted to make sure that it’s not just my kindle version that says: “Filopina wife” because whoever spell checked or edited this novel spelled “Filipina” wrong and I am extremely pissed off because I am Filipina and that’s just not ok. I mean, if I went around spelling or mispronouncing “American” wrong, people would give me crap about it.

I am LOVING this series. Almost done with book 2. I have my favorite Master, who is yours? :) I think this series makes 50 shades look like a children’s book. :)

These books are AMAZING! Kally writes from a realistic perspective rather than a fantasy relationship and the series is intertwined so you MUST read them in order! You will definitely NOT be disappointed!!

I loved the Master at Arms series so far. They are truly wonderfully written. A gentle yet firm introduction to anyone that desires or fantasizes about bdsm. The characters are amazing and the lead ins are informative in a way that makes you part of the stories. My only complaint is having to wait for the next 3 books.
Hurry Kally
Thank you Vicki

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Rescue Me series. I just purchased the last book and I think I will feel lost once I am done.

Vicki July 26, 2013 at 2:31 PM

@Tina, I completely agree with you. I’m dying to read the next books. I don’t normally get this wrapped up on stories but these books are so well written you can identify with the characters.
Ps. Which was your favorite?

Still no release date for the next 2 books?

Kristi Heins October 28, 2013 at 1:00 PM

Will Somebody’s Angel, Nobody’d Dream and Nobod’s Home ever come out? I thought Somebody’s Angel was suposed to be out 9/2013. Love these books as I deal a lot with Marines, know service members that were in Falluja and know the area in CA where these stories take place. I enjoy envisioning the story there and am getting impatient. Thousand steps beach is beautiful by the way, I am glad it was included in the book.

vicki October 28, 2013 at 3:12 PM

Yes Kristi i agree. I thought they were all coming out this year. By the time they are available I will forget the story line and be reading something else that’s as good. I hope they are out soon. I am very impatient as well.

Faith November 6, 2013 at 11:17 AM

I’m beginning # 4 and am trying to limit myself how much I read every day so that I can make it last longer! I absolutely love this series!! Hope the next 2 books follow soon to feed my addiction! :)

Karin Roots November 18, 2013 at 12:17 AM

I have in the last five days read all of the Rescue me Series and have searched everywhere for Somebody’s angel and can not find it. Has it been published yet? What will the book with Luke and Cassie be called? Is there going to be a book about Grant? This has been one of the best reads I have ever had. I forgot about all the other things I should be doing as I did not want to stop reading needing to find out what would happen next. Thank you but now I feel totally frustrated not knowing where, when or how to get hold of the next book.

Vicki November 18, 2013 at 5:02 PM

@ Karin. The next book is Luke and Cassie story. It’s not finished yet. Hopefully soon. My fingers are crossed. If you google the reading list for the master at arms series you will see the next 3 book titles and who they highlight

Js May 21, 2015 at 12:09 AM

Anyone know if Grant and Gunnar will get stories?
