These sound like romance-angst awesomeness. This totally gave me a blurb jolt…
…it’s all about numbing the pain. And his plan’s working fine — until he meets Corrie Johnson. That’s when things begin to unravel. Because falling in love was never part of the plan.
Angry, bitter and confused, Beau’s violent temper lands him in trouble more often than not — but he’s about to learn that the fight of his life doesn’t involve his fists…
Want a taste-test? 😉 Here’s an excerpt of book #1:
Over her shoulder I spot the douche bag from earlier walking towards us. The guy from the swim squad. The tall guy. And he doesn’t look impressed. He has the closely cropped hair and small beady eyes of a focused athlete, though the silver ring through his brow and the arrogant way he struts speaks volumes about his pretentious personality.
“This jerk annoying you, Corrie? You need a lift home?” he asks, narrowing his eyes at me as he deliberately slings one arm over her shoulder, letting it fall heavy against her skin. He traces the smooth outline of her arm with his fingertips.
Crap! He must be her boyfriend. What was I thinking? With looks like that, what possessed me to hope she’d be single? Disappointment fills my chest. But it only lasts a moment.
And it’s the best damn moment so far.
She seems uneasy, uncomfortable and almost flinches when he starts to fondle the ends of her hair. She deliberately shrugs forward, knocking his arm with her bag. She doesn’t want him touching her, that much is clear and my initial response is to rip the prick’s head off and shit in the hole, but I hold back for the time being. Losing my temper and cutting loose on this guy isn’t going to do me any favours. I’ve got my work cut out for me with this one.
She shakes her head. “My car’s parked out the front. I’m fine, thanks Liam.”
“You sure?” he asks, his eyes bouncing between us.
“She’s sure,” I say, fighting the urge to go all cave man on his ass. “I believe the lady said she was fine. Run along now, Liam.”
Liam’s lips turn white as challenge flashes across his face. He doesn’t wait for a reaction from either of us though before he shoves past me and forces open the door. It complains loudly when it bends back on the rusty hinges. I press my palm out flat against it as it slowly creeps forward again. “Don’t tell me you go for the athletic types … all broad shoulders, narrow hips and tiny dicks?”
Corrie’s mouth pops open in a perfect circle. “No, not usually.”
I shake my head, trying to clear the image. The long list of things I’d like to do with that mouth of hers just keeps growing. “So, you’re not a couple?”
She shrugs. “No, we aren’t a couple. We’ve known each other forever, since we were kids, but we’ve never been more than just friends.”
“Good to know,” I say with a wink.
I manage to catch the last of her rolling eyes when she slips through the small gap that’s left between my body and the thick metal doorframe.
The heat haze that lifts from the asphalt as she disappears across the car park acts like a mirage. “Pretty name by the way,” I call out after her.

“You’re dangerous,” she says, turning and walking backwards a few steps against the sun.
I have to shield my eyes to see her face. “Are you afraid of me, Corrie?”
She watches me for a moment longer and there’s no way for me to know what she’s thinking. Her head shakes softly and then she gets in a battered up station wagon. The car backfires as she accelerates away and a dark grey cloud of smoke chases after her.
That’s it. She’s gone.
I’m totally interested.
F*ck.
