Whoooooo YESSSS!!! Another series that I’m hearing has that KA feel, and a brand new book was just released today! I remember these from back in our “original-early-indie” days, and they’ve had a total cover makeover! Remember this one? ➔➔➔➔
Deea: I recently started the Give Me series by Kate McCarthy and I really like it, I LOL-ed so many times! 😛 The chicks are rock stars and their heros in the fighting scene. Interesting combination for a change. 🙂
Kim: Maryse you should add Kate McCarthy’s Give Me series to this list (Give Me Love, Give Me Strength and Give Me Grace (releasing 7/10). These books absolutely rock- they feature a bunch of Australian badass alpha hotties (affectionately dubbed the Badass Brigade of Hotties), some rock stars, their families, and a lot of action and humor! I love this series and it reminds me SO much of the Rock Chick series
Amie: Yes I agree Kate McCarthy’s books are amazing. Hot alpha guys. Her style def reminds me of KA. I have read all of her amazing books and I have loved them all.
Stacey: I agree with you ladies Kate McCarthys Give Me Series definetly reminded me of Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chick series. Hot badass men, good humour and close ties with all the characters. I would definetly recommend reading this sires to any KA fan.
Barb: Kate McCarthy’s Give Me Series is seriously HOT and BADASS!! I think you would love them!! There is some action and some amazingly hot men. Characters from OZ that will rock your world!! <3
About book #1:
Evie Jamieson, a former wild child, is not only a headstrong, smart-mouthed trouble magnet, she is also a lead singer with a plan. That plan involves uprooting her band, including her two best friends guitarist Henry and band manager Mac, to Sydney to kick off their dreams of hitting the big time.
Jared Valentine is the older brother of Evie’s best friend Mac and also the man determined to make Evie his. They strike up a long distance friendship which suits Evie because she’s determined to avoid the distraction of love, not only because it doesn’t fit in with her plan, but because twice in the past it has left her for dead. Moving to Sydney, however, has put her directly in Jared’s path and he has decided it’s the perfect opportunity to make his play.
Unfortunately Jared, co-owner in a business that ‘consults’ in dangerous hostage and kidnapping situations, makes an enemy who’s determined to enact revenge. When his enemy puts Evie in his sights, Jared not only has a fight on his hands to make her his own, but also to keep her alive.
Is accepting the love he’s so desperate to give worth the risk to both her heart, and her life?
