I came across this as a “series” by accident when I read (and went crazy over) the blurb for book #2 which was just released. Oooops. I suppose I read a serious spoiler, but it sounded SO good, and even knowing where book #2 goes, makes me want to backtrack and read this intense-sounding series. And then I found out a few of our fellow readers LOVE this series!
Amanda: Omg I just read Everything We Keep from this list and it was amazing.
Amy: Everything We Keep was really, really good and my heart absolutely ACHED at the end…and then the last chapter happened (or epilogue, can’t remember what it was) and my jaw hit the floor. Not sure though if I’ll be reading the sequel.
Lisa: I can highly recommend Everything We Keep and Everything We Left Behind by Kerry Lonsdale, my angst/marmy loving friends. Both were fantastic reads – very Melissa Delport feelz to it – and the fact that Everything We Keep was a debut novel is mind-blowing! Amy – you NEED to read the sequel to Everything We Keep. It was better than the first – and my heart just crumbled at Carlos’ story…but it was perfection!
About book #1:
A luminous debut with unexpected twists, Everything We Keep explores the devastation of loss, the euphoria of finding love again, and the pulse-racing repercussions of discovering the truth about the ones we hold dear and the lengths they will go to protect us.
Sous chef Aimee Tierney has the perfect recipe for the perfect life: marry her childhood sweetheart, raise a family, and buy out her parents’ restaurant. But when her fiancé, James Donato, vanishes in a boating accident, her well-baked future is swept out to sea. Instead of walking down the aisle on their wedding day, Aimee is at James’s funeral—a funeral that leaves her more unsettled than at peace.
As Aimee struggles to reconstruct her life, she delves deeper into James’s disappearance. What she uncovers is an ocean of secrets that make her question everything about the life they built together. And just below the surface is a truth that may set Aimee free…or shatter her forever.
- Everything We Keep: A Novel
- Everything We Left Behind: A Novel
- Everything We Give – expected release date July 2018
- and…
- All the Breaking Waves: A Novel <— NOT a part of the “Everything We Keep” series, but another awesome sounding book by this author.
Maryse – I don’t think All The Breaking Waves is part of the Everything We Keep Series. I think it’s just Everything We Keep, Everything We Left Behind is Book 2, and I believe there is a third book that has yet to come out…not that I won’t be reading All The Breaking Waves too…cuz the other two were so amazing 🙂
Lisa, on Amazon, it shows all three of them as together in that order, so I assumed somehow they are connected?
I shall do more research, but you just might be right on this!! 😀
“Everything We Give” is coming out in July 2018
Thank you guys!! I’ll add that one, plus I’ll make an update about “All the Breaking Waves” on here, too.
Oh my god, Maryse, I have been click click clicking and I have so many books and I don’t know where to begin and sometimes you just have to stop and read and not look, but I’m too scared I’m going to miss a good book.
Just finished Dear Aaron. I just absolutely loved it. Couldn’t put it down. We had a fire scare in the hotel at 6am this morning we all got dressed went downstairs took my book with me. False alarm went back to room and read even though I went to bed at 4am. Don’t you love a good one. I live for these.
