So many of my fellow readers are loving this sexy paranormal series! When the author told us, in an interview, that it was about:
“An anti-hero who can be just as cruel and abrasive as Jericho Barrons from KMM’s Fever series, who has the wit and sarcasm of Vishous from Ward’s BDB series, and who is as incredibly hot as both of them…”
… she got our attention! Here’s what others are saying:
Marcia: I went back to my first love and found a pretty good urban fantasy read on one of my blog stalking episodes. Hyde by Lauren Stewart was refreshingly different for me and I enjoyed it.
Kristin: Finished it last night too…can’t wait for book 2!!!
Lise: Finished this morning and it is a fresh take on an old story. Has a cliff hanger, so we will have to wait until December to see what happens.
Tiffany: Read it yesterday and was Hooked! There is a sequel coming sometime in December!
Mitzi: Maryse, have you read Hyde by Lauren Stewart yet? If not, you have to check it out! Loved it and am waiting for the sequel, which is due out any day now. 🙂
Cece: She’s right, Maryse! I loved this book! The ending will have you screaming for the sequel, can’t wait for Jekyll!
Julie: Just finished jekyll (hyde #2) by lauren stewart. If you havent read it you should! It has a eit feel to it. Karina halle and lauren stewart have to be my favorite “new found” authors 🙂
Wow. After that, I’m about 100% sure I’m gonna love these!
About the series:
To survive, they must embrace what they most despise . . . in themselves and in each other.
Mitch Turner is everything women want most in a man–charismatic, successful, drop-dead gorgeous. Except he’s not a man–he’s a monster.
The only way Mitch can protect others from his monstrous side is to stop them from getting too close…that and a 7×7 foot cage. Isolated by his genetic curse, he spends his life hurting people emotionally, driving them away before Hyde can harm them physically. But, after a night of the best sex Mitch has ever had, he realizes that might be impossible. Except the woman he wakes up with claims she doesn’t remember any of it.
Eden Colfax is everything men want most, men other than Mitch, that is. She’s kind, honest to a fault and sickeningly sweet. To rid herself of the monsters that haunted her broken childhood, Eden doesn’t lie, doesn’t curse, and definitely never wakes up naked in strangers’ beds…until the day she does. Then the flashbacks start–places she’s never been, people she’s never met, blood she’s never spilled. She discovers she’s split into two parts–the woman she thought she knew and another who is capable of anything. And the only person with any answers is the one man she never wants to see again.
What neither of them know is that someone is watching them both, manipulating them, determined to see just how evil the two of them really are. And when the truth begins to seep through the cracks, leaving them nowhere to turn but each other, they will be forced into a partnership neither had expected.
Because in life, who you trust is as important as who you are. And when you can’t even trust yourself, sometimes the only person you can rely on is the last person on Earth you should be falling for.
- Hyde, an Urban Fantasy
- Jekyll, an Urban Fantasy (Hyde, Book II)
- Strange Case, an Urban Fantasy (Hyde Book III)
The author says:
“I also have plans for a short novella about Detective Landon and his first encounter with the paranormal world. Landon was a minor character in book one and is a larger part of book two. Plus, I like him. He’s smart and amusing and can put up with Mitch’s BS. I don’t know what I’ll call the novella though, and it will be separate from the series–a telling of a story from years ago.”
Sounds really interesting, this definitely goes on my To-Read list !!
I absolutely love these books. I’m dying to read the last one and it’s not coming fast enough.
Thanks so much, Maryse! And thank you to everyone she quoted above.
Betul and anyone else who gives the books a try–I hope you enjoy them!
And Anna, I’m working as fast as I can! I swear it! 🙂
Lauren
Maryse, Did you ever read these? What do you think?
So, I just started Hyde today! Loving it! Didn’t even want to put it down to go pick up the kids from school–but I did. I think it’s going to be a pizza for dinner night! 🙂
ARGH!!! I devoured Hyde, and then started to inhale Jekyll. When I realized there wasn’t going to be an ending of the story, my heart started to break, and I had to put the book down. I LOVE the series, but I hate it when the series doesn’t end!!!! Lauren Stewart has an amazing way of weaving words. I literally read for 2 days straight. Love this duo, and am DYING to find out the end.
