<— TEAR-JERKER ALERT!! Or should I say… UGLY-CRY alert! π This book set off a whole KABOOM on this blog, and pretty much all over our book world when it first came out. And there’s more…
Donna: β¦ I am heartbroken
Julie:Β Donna β you have to read Carnage 2! The first Carnage tears your heart out and I think the sequel puts it back together.
Amy: I forgot to tell you guys what I thought of Carnage. Okay, where do I startβ¦yβall saw what I said above but saying that I was emotionally exhausted is definitely worth repeating. The angst was there, especially in some parts, but it was more of an emotional rollercoaster for me. I started out having an anxious tummy because if things are that sweet and perfect in the beginning you just *know* somethingβs coming thatβs gonna hurt. Then BAM, sonofawhore! Thatβs when I started getting emotionally exhausted. In a good way, of course. *giggle*
Things started looking up, some hot lovinβ was thrown in, and thenβ¦ohhhh, that was not nice to do to him. Not nice at all. *shakes head* You guys know who Iβm talking about. But everything was better and all was right in the world and thenβ¦*gasp* What are ya thinking???? Arghhh! Really?? Why would you do that. *sigh* But then itβs okay again. Of course.
So, Iβm about wiped out emotionally at that point and wondering what the heck else is coming, and thenβ¦ No, no, NO!! WTF?!?!? Lots of crying. Lots of hugging my manatee. Lots of needing comfort snuggles…
Michelle:Β Oh AmyΒ
Β Carnage made me ugly cry too! I love those books though just for the fact that I was totally invested.
Solange:Β I just loved CARNAGE #1 and #2β¦2 a little more than 1, I have to say. I loooved the dialogues, the steamy scenesβ¦and just everything about it. I am not familiar with the british slangs and witty humor, but got used to it at some point and just dove into the story. I have to say this story will stay with me for a looong time. itβs up there with Fifty Shades for me. For those of you who read it, i am teamCAMERON all the way, although I loved the strong and sweet bond Georgia shared with Sean. And the ending! OMG! Ok enough. Read this, peopleβ¦you wonβt regret it.
About book #1:
I love him, from the instant I set eyes on him when I was just 11 years old I have loved him and nothing will ever change that, he owns me, he owns my heart and he owns my body and no matter how many lies are told, no matter how many people conspire to keep us apart, despite the fame and the distance, we will find a way.
βGeorgia Rae, when we made love you used to cryββ¦ He waits for me to sing my bit. I try to swallow down a sob but I just end up singing through itβ¦
βI said I love you like the stars above, Iβll love you till I dieβCarnage, an edgy coming of age love story that breaks all the rules and transcends the decades. Georgia and Sean’s story will stay with you long after you read the final word.Β An emotional, smoking hot, gut wrenching read
SERIES READING ORDER:
Still heart broken! Need therapy hehe
This sounds crazy good! Let me make sure I’m understanding, though. Story is completed in book #2, the another character is book #3??
I don’t know if my poor heart could take another book! I sobbed at the end of the Carnage. I’ve teared up and sniffed a bit with other books but Carnage broke me.
LOVE-HATE. LOVE-HATE. This is my relationship with Carnage…. (but sometimes you need that to jolt you out of a book slump).
I’ve read all of Lesley Jones books now and loved them all. If you read Carnage you can’t stop until you read the second book – it’s a must and a five star. So many books I forget but I remember this one like I just read it. A few of the Carnage crew show up briefly in Conviction. Resolution/Saviour is a different story line but I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Carnage 2 will always be my favorite though. I highly recommend it!
Well, I have been warned and still one-clicked Carnage and started last night. I’ll keep the tissues on deck.
I also just finished Pucked-up and I loved it!
OMG!! I WANTED A TEARJERKER AND THIS WAS DEFINITELY IT!! I so want to listen to book two but I may need a breather!ππ so thankful for the recommendation!!
YAY Aimee!!!! I’m so glad you loved it. It tore us UP!
I listened to the audiblle version because I sew. And the narrators did an awesome job!!!
