STEAMING HOT & SOUNDS KIND OF SCANDALOUS ALERT!! Okay this series came to my attention, as it was the correct answer to a reader question that made my eyes bug right out of my head!!! That question was “Reader Question… Solved! The series about the brothers that had to *ahem* “do it” with the first brother’s mate to remain powerful…”
Talks of jealousy once the “ritual secret” came out to the brother’s new potential heroines has my attention BIG TIME!! I was all… wait, WHAT???? ROARRRR!!!
Ute: …what was different about the books was all three brothers had to have sex together with the first brother’s mate/wife to keep them healthy or powerful. When the two brothers got girlfriends and the secret was found out about the sex a lot of problems and jealousy happened…
Tracey: the ‘Men of August’ series by Lora Leigh. Great series I have reread. Very steamy.
Ute: The series is called Men of August by Lora Leigh and I’ve been going crazy trying to remember the name of the series and the author. I agree with Tracey that these books are very steamy and the brothers relationship with each other and their girlfriends is unusual but interesting.
About book #1:
She’s loved him since she was a girl and now, as a woman, Marly Macall aches for Cade, and she’s determined to seduce the big tough rancher. She’s heard about his desires, and no matter the cost, she’s willing to pay the price to hold his heart.
Cade August has always known of Marly’s affection for him. He loves her, but the brutal truth of his and his brother’s pasts can do nothing but destroy her.
But the past isn’t finished with the Men of August or with Marly. And when the dark specter of those secrets and the brutality of vengeance raise their ugly heads, Cade learns there’s no escaping— not just his dark desires, but the secrets he would have kept hidden from her forever.
SERIES READING ORDER:
- Marly’s Choice (Men of August Book 1)
- Sarah’s Seduction (Men of August Book 2)
- Heather’s Gift (Men of August Book 3)
- August Heat (Men of August novella Book 4) as found in the Twelve Quickies of Christmas Vol. 1 Anthology
Read these so long ago and when I found out what Marley’s choice was phew! This was a good series but if you don’t like “menage” situations then steer clear.
