Melissa De La Cruz – Blue Bloods Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

An excerpt from the author’s website:

Within New York City’s most elite families, there lurks a secret society of celebrated Americans whose ancestors sailed on the Mayflower. They are the powerful and the wealthy—and in fact, they are not human. They are the Blue Bloods, an ancient group of vampires.

Schuyler Van Alen has never fit in at Duchesne, her prestigious New York City private school. She prefers baggy, vintage clothes instead of the Prada and pearls worn by her classmates, and she lives with her reclusive grandmother in a dilapidated mansion. Schuyler is a loner—and happy that way.

But when she turns fifteen, Schuyler’s life changes dramatically. She has a mosaic of blue veins on her arms, and craves raw meat. The death of a popular girl from Duchesne is surrounded by a mystery that haunts her. And strangest off all, Jack Force, the most popular boy in school, is showing a sudden interest in her.

Schuyler wants to find out the secrets the Blue Bloods are keeping. But is she herself in danger?

A spinoff:

  • Wolf Pact, Book 1” - as per the author ”the first book in the Blue Bloods spinoff starring Bliss Llewellyn, which is out September 25th 2012″

graciela martinez October 11, 2011 at 8:34 PM

i mean you got the order of the books wrong

Maryse October 11, 2011 at 8:41 PM

Really? Hrmmm… Maybe you can point out the error, so I can fix, but…. I just checked Melissa’s website (FAQ) – which I used when I originally created this list, and she shows it exactly the same way I have it above:

As per her words:
“This is the order of the Blue Bloods books:

Blue Bloods (novel) May 2006
Masquerade (novel) May 2007
Revelations (novel) November 2008
The Van Alen Legacy (novel) October 2009
*Keys to the Repository -> encyclopedia of terms, short stories, secret information June 2010
Misguided Angel (novel) October 2010
*Bloody Valentine -> three short stories December 2010
Lost in Time (novel) OUT NOW!
*Wolf Pact (novel) September 2012 -> Spin-off series featuring Bliss Llewellyn
Blue Bloods: The Graphic Novel (graphic novel) January 2013
The Gates of Paradise (novel) January 2013

I have read tons of vampire books. I have to say it was a first to read vampires as recarnated angels. I liked it though it is very pre- teen. I still had to keep reading to see what was going to happen with Schyler, Jack, Olivier!

Hey everyone, I get a lot of great info from here. I have been reading so many series about fallen angels. I was hoping anyone could suggest some great reads, here’s what I’ve read so far or own. The fallen by Lauren Kate, The Immortals by Alyson Noel, Hush Hush Saga , The Trylle novels, the Halo Series, Beautiful Creatures, Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, Embrace by Jessica Shirvington, City of Bones series, The Soul Seekers by Alyson Noel, A beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies, Die for me by Amy Plum, and The Fallen by Thomas E. Sniegoski. My goal is to read 75 books by the end of the year. I appreciate any input and I’m open to different fantasy or YA paranormal books. Thanks everyone.

Kathleen February 7, 2013 at 1:10 PM

How about the Morganville Vampire Series, there are over 12 books, just ordered the newest, couldn’t put them down. Also, Elizabeth Hunter, A Hidden Fire, couldn’t put those down either.

Happy Hunting!
