in Reading Order Guide:

DARK READ ALERT!!! THE SERIES IS COMPLETE and our fellow readers are LOVING IT!!!

Tracy:  just finished Indebted by Pepper Winters and I have to go right into the second book. I need to see where this is going. These dark reads intrigue me!

Tessa: I saw on Facebook earlier that Pepper Winter’s First Debt was on sale.  I bought it before I could even think.  I loved the first Indebted book, and this one is a full book.  (Warning Amy, CH in both books)

Grey: I am really excited that the Indebted series is wrapping up so that I can finally read it. Pepper Winters can do almost no wrong for me, Tess and Q…Ermagherd…. those two… *squee* they were one of the first really dark reads for me…

Lisa: I NEED to read Pepper Winters last book. I rarely do cliffys or series for that matter or dark (like pitch black dark) reads so I’m out of my comfort zone. But its so so good.

About book #1:

“I own you. I have the piece of paper to prove it. It’s undeniable and unbreakable. You belong to me until you’ve paid off your debts.”

Nila Weaver’s family is indebted. Being the first born daughter, her life is forfeit to the first born son of the Hawks to pay for sins of ancestors past. The dark ages might have come and gone, but debts never leave. She has no choice in the matter.

She is no longer free.

Jethro Hawk receives Nila as an inheritance present on his twenty-ninth birthday. Her life is his until she’s paid off a debt that’s centuries old. He can do what he likes with her—nothing is out of bounds—she has to obey.

There are no rules. Only payments.

*giggle* I love when the ladies here give me a heads up like that about CH’s! I guess my cliffhanger-induced p!ssy moods aren’t fun to deal with. ;) Her Monsters in the Dark series was really good, and from what I’m hearing this one is possibly even better. :D

Loved the first book in this series, hated the cliffhanger so I bought book 2 but haven’t read it yet. I waited for 3 to come out so I can have a book binge!!!

I have to say that this series of books really pushes my personal limits on book ‘darkness’… I’ve only read a small handful of these reads and I’m still not sure if I like them or need to set them aside (for now, lol) – So, does anyone know how many total debts there are? I thought there were several of them and I’m wondering if each of the debts will have it’s own book… Perhaps I need to go and ‘stalk’ the authors website.

Teri, I don’t read too many of these dark books either, but I like this series. There are a total of 6 books planned. I liked Destroyed by Pepper Winters, it is not quite as dark, but packed with emotion.

Amy, yes. It is better. It is dark, but it is more pure mind messery. After reading it, you start trying guess what was really happening, who people really are, etc. I got Second Debt today, but have to finish another first.
