R.K. Lilley – The Wild Side Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

R.K. Lilley’s latest series just had a brand new release!! Gorgeous, crazy looking covers, and an even crazier (fun!) sounding blurb. He’s 40, just out of long marriage and in a rut… and then a “…hot young blonde at the gym that’s been pseudo-stalking him decides to rock his world.;)

And it’s rocking Michelle’s world, too!

Michelle: Fanning myself….. okay, I finally went for it. It intrigued me when it came out, but I stayed away because it was so short. There are three books now, so it was worth a look. Wowza. It’s hot as heck. And has that “something” I can’t put into words. Wild Side is from his POV. Don;t know about others yet. And his POV is great. I bet if you download the sample you go straight to the book, like I did.

Sadie: Michelle we don’t know if the 3rd installment is the final one?

Jillian: I read that this is the last in the series for Dair and Iris!

Maryse: Good to know! Thank you Jillian! :D

Donna: I LOVED IT!

About book #1:

Alasdair Masters is in a rut. He just hit forty, has been nearly celibate for the past year, and his life has turned into a daily sequence of lonely patterns that revolve around avoiding human contact. His tidy life is turned on its head when a hot young blonde at the gym that’s been pseudo-stalking him decides to rock his world. A very young blonde. Way, way too young for him. The problem is, he can’t seem to tell her no, and she just keeps coming back for more.

It doesn’t help that he’s ninety percent sure she’s a criminal, and still, he can’t seem to turn her down. What is a dull introvert to do when a chaotic cyclone that oozes sexuality comes twisting into his life?

At first, he thinks she’ll give him a heart attack, but after his twenty-year marriage ended a year ago, he’s been a little lost, and when she comes crashing into his life, he realizes that he’s never felt more alive.

Is a walk on the wild side just what he needs to get his life on track or a disaster in the making? Is it possible for someone that much younger to be just what he needs, or is she a fortune hunter, as everyone keeps telling him? Is it his hormones telling him that the mysterious younger woman is the one, or could it be more?

I decided to give The Wild Side a go at nearly midnight last night. Was just going to download the sample, read it, and buy it for today if it was good. I had to make myself go to bed at 2:00 after I bought the sample and instantly bought the book. Holy Cow. I didn’t originally buy it because it was so short, but I see now that there are three books, so I am going with it. It’s from HIS point of view, and I like his inner dialogue about a “too young” girl. And she is a total mystery. So far so good!!! Very steamy.

Excellent!!! Thank you for letting me know, Michelle. Do you know if book #3 is the conclusion, or another installment?

I have no idea. I’ve been downloading so many samples trying to find “that book” and I paid no attention to that kind of thing. I figured it would be like the others…. but it wasn’t. It grabbed me right away and I just one-clicked and never looked back. I don’t even CARE if the series isn’t finished. I’m that caught up in it. Him working through the obvious cliche of rich older guy meets hot young girl is just fascinating. He’s a writer, so his inner dialogue is great. Just finished the first one. I could literally go right into the next if I didn’t have company coming. And I am half tempted to feign sickness just to get to read this! LOL

Okay well you just made my day with this!! I love R.K. Lilley, so I gotta read it!

I hadn’t even realized it was the same author as the Tristan and Danika series (which I liked very much) and the Up in Air series (which I liked, but didn’t rock my world)…. but she got it together for this one, because I am loving it. I am really starting to question my overall taste if THIS is what is rocking my world. Oh well… handbasket is already on fire….

I just finished, Dair…. literally went back-to-back with these short novels. Hate that they were sold separately, cause it was really one book… but, having said that… WOW! Loved the story. Loved the characters. Was thrilled with the ending. Had suspense and had me in knots. Definitely shed a tear near the end there. This author is only getting better, so I can’t wait to read what’s next from her. I do hope she goes for a full novel instead of this “sell it in pieces” stuff. I guess there’s way more $$ in it, but it’s getting really old!

This trilogy was excellent. Raunchy, really well-paced, not your run of the mill, but written from the guy’s perspective (with some dumbass moves from him that forced a few tears). Good ending that makes me want to immediately read it again, now I know Iris’s story!

LOVE THIS SERIES. It made me nervous, and uncomfortably anxious until the ending. I love Dair! :-)
