Okay I did it again. π I came up with my own “series name” for now, until an official one is announced, but how could I not put up Β a post to such an amazing self-help, empowerment series? And I think this is perfect for EVERYONE (male and female alike).
Maria:Β Β It is such an amazing book!!!!!!!
Dawn:Β I am currently listening to Girl, Wash your face and I am LOVING it!!
I’m listening to this one as we speak and it SPEAKS to me. Down to earth, introspective, and she uses so many of her own personal life examples (stuff that, at times, will absolutely make you cringe) to help us realize all that we ARE. And that we are not alone. I’m LOVING IT!! And guess what? A new one is up for preorder. π
P.S. Isn’t it weird how I can only READ fiction, but I always tend to prefer to “listen” to self-help audiobooks. In this case (and often the case for my self-help audiobooks) I like when Rachel talks to me. I love to listen to her, and I feel like we’re just hanging out. She’s already an amazing comfort and friend, even if I don’t know her in real life.
About book #1:
Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you donβt have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you:Β thatβs a lie.
As the founder of the lifestyle websiteΒ TheChicSite.comΒ and CEO of her own media company, Rachel Hollis developed an immense online community by sharing tips for better living while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own life. Now, in this challenging and inspiring new book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies weβve told ourselves so often we donβt even hear them anymore.
With painful honesty and fearless humor, Rachel unpacks and examines the falsehoods that once left her feeling overwhelmed and unworthy, and reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be.
With unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity,Β Girl, Wash Your FaceΒ shows you how to live with passion and hustle–and how to give yourself grace without giving up.
I am with you Maryse re: audiobooks. It’s weird how books will have a different feel while listening to vs. reading. My library has this one, so I will give it a listen sometime.
