Okay guys, this one’s been recommended to me a few times, and after looking into it, it does sound so good! I’ve been reading some great reviews for the series, so far, and the first two books are free!! AND it’s paranormal (the heroine thought they were vampires… but they’re something else) π
As per Jenn:
“I was looking for a new series that captured me. Heku! I downloaded the first book for free from Amazon-hook line and sinker……. I can read the series over and over again. I highly suggest it. there were a few books that were a bit slow but as a reader – the reader needed this knowledge to understand the emotion.”
and as per Deann:
“Have you read The Heku Series by TM Nielsen? A few you can find for free online and the rest I found for $1 each. There are seven books in the series. Didnt see her or the series listed on your site. Just a suggestion!”
What it’s about:
“Heku is a species, one that pre-dates the humanβs oldest ancestors. They are native to Earth and have watched while the humans evolved over time. Encounters with this blood-drinking species have led to such myths as the vampires, zombies, and even the werewolf, but they are none of those things. They become offended if you call them undead, but they are immortal and never age.”
about book#1 “…His intense desire to protect her wins out over his obligation to bring justice within the faction, and he sets out to discover what about her brings out an almost unheard of attraction between the heku and a human.”
So here it is!
- Heku (The Heku Series) (this one is FREE!! Well at least when I made this list ;))
- Valle (The Heku Series) (this one is also FREE!! Or as of when I made this list…)
- Encala (The Heku Series)
- Equites (The Heku Series)
- Proditor (The Heku Series)
- Ferus (The Heku Series)
- Eternity of Vengeance (Extended Edition) (The Heku Series) <— tee hee! This one, I think had a sort of cliffhanger ending by the way some of the reviewers panicked…
- Ancients and Old Ones (The Heku Series)
- Banishment (The Heku Series)
Maryse, the 9th, and apparently, final book in the series, Banishment, is now out. Just thought I’d let you know so that you could update your reading order. =)
There is a ninth book in t.m. nielson heku series. The book is called banished is and just as good, if not better, than the rest!
The final book is actually called Banished, and in my opinion, turns out to be the best book of all. Many times the series seems to drag out, but if you had someone that bent on capturing and using you, it might drago out, too! At any rate, I don’t think the story could have ended any earlier, especially when you are immortal and will possibly live forever.
T.M. Nielson also has another series out (Trilogy) called the Dimensions Saga, starting with Dimension Shifter. I am reading it now, and I like it even better than the Heku series! Dimensions… is vastly different from the Heku. I will say no more and spoil it.
I just read the third book in the Dimension Saga. Can’t wait for the last
I have read the first 6 and just can’t get enough!!! I drive the husband a bit nuts at times because I can’t seem to put the books down! I absolutely LOVE these characters.
The Dimension Saga is awesome too! Just wish there were more…
I have read and loved both series. Great story lines and character development. I feel badly that the author wasn’t given the credit (and profits) due, and hope to read more of her work in the future. The only thing that bothered me was that I kept wanting to edit for her…a habit due to years of that being a part of my job. Please be sure she knows how much my friends and I enjoyed her stories, and appreciated the bonus of the low costs! π
Never have I been so into a book I could read it over and over its amazing to think this could be bigger then The Twilight series a love that’s transcendent without transformation everyone is who there. Please do more with this…. A TV series a movie anything people who don’t read need to know about this
