Tara Sivec – The Chocolate Lovers Series Reading Order

in Reading Order Guide:

The funniest contemporary romance/erotic series ever! I’m sure of it! Okay, I admit, I don’t have that much experience in romance comedy reads, but if you judge by the way I chuckled, hooted and snorted while reading book #1 (check out my review), I’m quite confident in giving it that title! THE PERFECT read when you’re in the need for a pick-me-up. Perfect to pull you out of that “dark-read” brood-mood. And just an all out *eyebrow raising* sexy, & romantic sugary-sweet, tantalizing treat (umm… and you can take that description as innocently or as innuendo-y as you want… hehe ;) )

And if you go by what our fellow readers say, I think you’re all in for the laughing ride of your life. It’s a bit dirty, too. *blush* Okay…. a LOT dirty. Tee hee!!!!

Janet: I just had to write and tell you about this hilarious book I’m reading (at 35%), you may have already heard about it but if not you really should add it to the top of your TBR list.  It’s called Seductions and Snacks by Tara Sivec.  It is got to be the single funniest book I have EVER read.  It’s also a love story but this author does an incredible job with the story telling.  I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Maxima: I just have to tell you about a book I just read, it’s called Seduction and snacks by  Tara Sivec. It is the funniest book I have ever read, it would be great if you can also read it,  just try not to do it a 3:00 am I actually woke my husband up when I couldn’t stop laughing and tears were coming down my face, he actually sent me to the living room!  I loved it! I hope it makes your TBR list.

Bitchie: It’s called Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec. It’s awesome and funny and sweet, and I think I even teared up once.

Jen: I stayed up until the sun was up this morning finishing Futures and Frosting – I didn’t think it was possible that this book could come anywhere near the first one — but it totally did… I was literally shaking the bed with my laughter while my husband was snoring next to me… Seriously awesome follow-up to Seduction and Snacks… Loved loved loved it!!!!

About the series:

Claire is a twenty-something, single mom that grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he’s asleep) toddler a better life.

When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time. With Carter’s undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire’s panic that her stretch marks and slim to none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.

I couldn’t get into this book at all. I stopped reading after a few chapters. I think it was what she kept calling her girl parts – it was such a huge turn off. I guess I just didn’t understand her humor. I’d be interested in knowing if anyone else felt the same way.

Sounds like a great series! It’s nice to see some books that have fun and don’t take love TOO serious!

The Chocolate Lovers series is definitely a must read. I’ve never had so much fun reading a book. Gavin is the best! Got to love that kid. Haha!

I have just read Seductions and Snacks, and it is THE FUNNIEST book I have ever read. I recommended it to all my friends. LOVED IT!

Love these books!! I laughed so much my husband was alittle taken back because normally I cry at most of the books I read. :) Really people, real problems, real love and laughs. Made me fall back in love with my husband even if he isn’t a billionaire, as most leads have someone rich or famous in them lately that I have been reading. Perfect combo of all the emotions. Can’t wait for Jenny and Drew’s book as I feel they will be the most laughable couple to read about in this series.

Firstly – THANK YOU Maryse for your awesome blog! I can’t tell you how my ebook list has exploded (and growing) since I stumbled onto your site. I think I started reading your blog 1-2 months ago?? (so much fun I can’t recall when). It has been great to discover new authors who I have now become addicted to. If only days had more than 24 hours… *sigh*

Back to topic at hand – absolutely loved loved loved both books. Like so many others this was a book that literally had me laughing out loud like a loon. For fans of Gavin (c’mon who isn’t?) check out his twitter

Helps the withdrawal post Books 1 & 2 (that’s if you are not rereading it!) while we wait for Drew and Jenny’s story. Can’t wait for what T-Shirts (Drew) and verbal spazz (Jenny) Tara will come up with. Can’t wait :)

FYI- There’s book 3.5 that just came out on June 1st, 2013, however it’s a cute short book to include the whole gang. It’s about 50 pages. Kinda short, but I’m taking whatever I can get from this series right now until the 4th & final book comes out. WEEEEEEEHHHHH!!!!!! So excited!!!! Love this series! Hilarious!!!
