Tee hee! I don’t even know if that’s what the “series” is called, considering each book is a standalone, but since that’s the name of book #1 and each book-hero sounds like a cocky bastard and that seems to be the theme of the series, so I’m going with it. 😉 For now. LOL!! Plus there’s even a book #3 on the way. YAY US!!
Oh!! I just received confirmation from Penelope Ward. She says:
“Yes! So, this is the Cocky Bastard series. It’s a series of standalones by Vi Keeland and myself all about different couples who meet during chance encounters. *There may or may not be more books in the series after that. But three for sure now!”
And guess what?!! Book #2 (Stuck-Up Suit) JUST WENT LIVE early (and the premise has me wanting to one-click badly!!). He’s gorgeous and she sees him on a subway, and he’s yelling at someone on his phone, and then he storms off but drops his phone… and she picks it up. Tee hee!!!
Fabi: To appease your curiosity, and because you already know I’m a blabbermouth and can’t resist commenting on everything, here’s what I thought of Cocky Bastard: I am so impressed with both the female and male POVs in this book. I could swear Aubry and Chase are real people. 5 big, beautiful, love story stars for this one A big thank you to both authors for making me feel all girly, and mushy, and starry eyed. Books like these are the chocolate truffles for my soul.
Linda: Fabi I totally agree with you!!! Cocky Bastard is hands down a 5* read for me for 2015. Absolutely swooned over Chase and loved Aubrey too.
Grey: Cocky Bastard, omg… Making me laugh so hard I cry!
Anne: I loved Cocky Bastard too! Chase was so perfect! *sigh*
marina: I loved Cocky Bastard too.
Jean: Just finished Cocky Bastard and I loved, loved, loved it! …if you love Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, and you haven’t done so yet, you must read Cocky Bastard!
Chris: Oh Maryse, you have to read Cocky Bastard! It was one of my favorite reads of 2015. Laugh out loud funny but still angsty, with a swoony H with an Austrailian accent and hands down the best animal mascot I’ve ever read in a book. Loved it and I’m so excited to read their latest!!
About book #1:
He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska. A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.
When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours. My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense. I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways. All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

I love BOTH of these authors, so this is quite the thrill. I think both of ’em are my very next reads. 😀
Maryse, you will love Cocky Bastard! I’m taking a break from the Sinners Tour for Stuck Up Suit! So excited for this one!
I’m halfway through Stuck Up Suit and I can’t put it down! I actually have to go to work tonight and I’m trying to think of ways I can sneak a chapter or two because it’s that good!!
I didn’t know she was making this a series! *Immediately one click* I loved Cocky Bastard, the perfect combination of comedy and angst. Not to mention the cover and “The Butt” teehee
