This rant… I mean… confession, cracked me up. It’s HILARIOUS! Mind you, I AM a sucker for some of these tropes, even though I DO agree with Lauren that in real life? Nope. Most of it wouldn’t happen (and I have to go with the whole “just go with it” philosophy) but I must admit, she makes some very good points. 😉 *snort*
And it’s when she said

Lisa is struggling and feeling some reading envy. And you know what? I GET IT!
It seems I fall asleep so much earlier now, and reading just gives me that perfect cozy-sleepy feel that sends me off into dream land (often dreaming about said book!) before I’m even ready.
I remember when I could stay up until 3am, or even 5am finishing a book. *gasp* 
What happened??!!!

This reader confession is brought to you by Ela. 😉 LOL!!! It’s not really her own reader confession per se, but she said one of the funniest comments I’ve ever read, and I was just SO inspired to create this post because of her comment.

Ela really loves a book and wants us to read it, but there were a few comments on the less-than-thrilling cover, yet she insisted, saying:
“..IT’S AN OLDER BOOK LIKE FROM 2011. THAT’S DURING THE DINOSAUR ERA WHERE BOOK COVERS WERE MADE FROM TWIGS…“
Tee hee!!! Lisa’s confession makes me laugh, ’cause I’m kind of the same way (although my book-hoarding kicks in hard, just like Lisa’s 😉 but mine is for fantasy books – I’ll explain later). But for some of you that might not know the terms she’s referring to, they’re made-up terms by our crew here to distinguish between certain genres.
So here’s a little hint to help you understand what she means for when you read her confession:
“Death Club books” are the books that some of us (so MANY of us) love even though an important character might… die. Okay, or, I’ll just come right out and say it. Dies. Most definitely (although we try to avoid saying that, since we don’t like to spoil books). But once it becomes known (or some INSIST on the spoiler), it becomes a part of the unofficial “death club” list. Obviously, I haven’t made that list (not officially) since that would be… wayyyyyyy tooooo spoilerish. 😉
You guys… Carly needs a serious group hug. Here’s her reader confession, and it’s a little bit scandalous. And yet I feel like SO many will relate. 😉

…except I cried when I had to give the majority of my paperbacks away, and when I lost three tablets. Three. Of course, both because of the devil child.
Now I’m stuck reading on a crappy phone. All. The. Time.
I’m not ashamed to admit I deleted my whole photo album so I could download some books. Bye-bye baby photos.
