Mary: …wondering if you or your readers might be able to recommend some books with the ugly duckling to swan theme. You know where the heroine is gorgeous inside and just needs to build her self esteem and have a makeover to get the hot guy’s attention i.e. Laurie in Sweet Dreams. Or she’s an ordinary girl but the gorgeous guy gets to know her and thinks she’s gorgeous… i.e Zoe from Perfection (A Neighbor From Hell Series Book 2). read more
Jamie’s looking for a specific genre, and while I DO have some favorites, and a category for it (I’ll link it below), I figured I’d open up her question the all of our fellow readers for their own recommendations. ‘Cause obviously I LOVE this genre too (I just realized I’ve quite a few, and loved them most of ’em like crazy). 😀
Do you have a list of your favorite Time Travel books?
Since J.A. Redmerski’s MUCH LOVED “In the Company of Killers” series is being made into a movie and TV series I’ve had a few requests lately for a list of our favorite assassins romance books!
Robyn: I’m rereading JA Redmerski’s In the Company of Killers series. I am so in love with these books even though I’ve read them so many times. There is just something about assassins and their mates that hook me. I love this trope! We should make a list Maryse!
Stephanie: I would also love to see Maryse create a list of Assassin’s novels because I absolutely loved the Killing Sarai (In the Company of Killers Book 1) Series and haven’t really seen any other series/novels like it. read more
OMG!!! I DO have a category for the enemies to lovers trope on my blog (includes everything from reader questions, reviews, and series tagged this way) but how do I NOT have a favorites list for this? This is one of my FAVORITE tropes and I have quite a few I could add.
Nothing better than that resistance and the push-push (not push pull), that fuming and that agony of the inevitable slow burn when the one she (or he) can’t stand, actually shows a sweeter side. The reluctant friendship (or truce) and then… ahhhhhhhhh the romance relief. Exactly the payoff we were hoping for!!! read more
