GO! GO! GO! NOWWWWWWW!!!! IT’S UP!!!!!!! OMG!! I’m hyperventilating!!!! No sleep for me tonight!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And in the meantime….

You know I had to put this up, and I know SO MANY of us are reading this as we speak. I set this up as our sounding board. This is our temporary “Fifty” support group. If you feel the need (as I know I will), you can come here to cry together and cheer together, until we reach the end.

Careful!! No spoilers please.

But just in case there are some that I’ve missed ’cause I was so busy reading… proceed to the comments below with caution. ;)

Sigh. I’ve been waiting for the last book ever since I read the first one during Thanksgiving break. My only complaint would be the typos. I have already seen about three in the first chapter and provided my comment after I clicked “content error” on the kindle app.

Nevertheless, the story is wonderful so far!

Bia January 19, 2012 at 9:20 AM

Bia said: “I’m about 1/3 of book..LOVING EVERY SINGLE PAGE, WORD…(actually found out I’m reading WAYYYY slower because I enjoy reading this book so much, I don’t want to miss anything)…:),,, yep…all night reading and I’m back to it…*sighs*… Ms. James …more”

Bia January 19, 2012 at 9:27 AM

Rebeka: I know, right? She used the word “trunks” and my eyes popped …lol..I also thought “What? Man-kini”? I started really, really no liking the image on my mi d,so in my mind I changed to shorts, or Bermudas or anything else that not a “speedo-looking ” anything …lol…lol…:)

Maryse January 19, 2012 at 9:58 AM

Ummm to help you out Bia & Rebeka… There’s a certain picture, of a certain cover model, in “swim trunks” on the beach, and believe me, they are not the horrible speedo things u girls had in mind… THAT visual should help you guys along. Just sayin’ ;)

**Chris** January 19, 2012 at 10:34 AM

Im so obsessed with these books!! I woke up at midnight and wanted to log on to Amazon and download this book….I have read five chapters and I MUST stop to shower, eat, and get the kids but I cant. Maryse…..Thanks girl for all your recommendations and for FIFTY. Are you picturing Christian as “PAUL”? Im picturing him as orlando bloom. yum yum *sigh*. How much have you read and are you gonna finish it today? I feel like it is a race……baaaaahaaaa.

Maryse January 19, 2012 at 10:57 AM

Haha Chris, you’d think I would be, but my Christian Grey already has a specific “look” for me, and it’s permanent. Here is my Christian:

and *ahem* this one (same guy):

Besides, Paul was my Lothaire, and since I’ve had a HUGE Lothaire week, I figured I’d give him “image” a break. Come to think of it… Paul is also my Talon (Sherrilyn Kenyon’s book, my fav in her series, and he was on that cover, too). Oh. And he’s also my Rehv.

Oh boy. hehe

Maryse January 19, 2012 at 10:58 AM

Bookster, I’m reading slow right now… but enjoying it, so we’re all good! No worries! ;)

patricia January 19, 2012 at 12:15 PM

Jamie January 19, 2012 at 2:27 PM

I am reading slow too! I find myself re-reading paragraphs just to make sure I get the complete mental picture. Loved what Ana got “in trouble” for on the Honeymoon. She kills me! Love how she accidentally get’s in trouble all the time. Reading on……….

Danielle Ford January 19, 2012 at 4:24 PM

OMG!!!!!! Paul Marron is sooooooo my Talon too! I could never find any guys who quite fit the image in my head until I saw the cover of Lothaire. And the pics you have are even better! YYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

**Chris** January 19, 2012 at 6:14 PM

I agree…..those pics ARE christian. I kinda picture him a little thinner with lighter copper colored hair but that b.o.d.y!!!!! I just stopped at Ana getting jealous and feeling “off”. Wonder what she is hinting at? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I wonder???? Anyway, where are you at and do you like this book as much as the first or second? Im not sure. Although…..I love this trilogy as much as twilight. Sorry Edward……I love Christian! <3

Alisha January 19, 2012 at 6:16 PM

Sheila January 19, 2012 at 6:28 PM

Desmond January 19, 2012 at 6:37 PM

Brandie January 19, 2012 at 7:24 PM

I can’t say that I loved it more than either of the others but I love it WITH the others, kwim? I thought it ended beautifully. My only complaint, the bonus Meet Fifty Shades, left me wanting more, more, more!!!

Sali Benbow-powers January 19, 2012 at 8:34 PM

Lol lol lol desond….someone had to say it ! :) luv it

Melissa January 19, 2012 at 8:42 PM

Taking it slow at 27%. my favorite so far…”Mine. Yeah bitch-mine. My inner goddess is wearing her gladiatrix outfit, and she’s taking no prisoners.” hahahaha I effing LOVE Ana. :)

Mariel January 19, 2012 at 9:46 PM

Have not slept…. Refuse to sleep!!!! ahhh this one is also my fav so far… Ana’s inner goddess cracks me up lol I don’t want this to be it… :’)

Victoria January 19, 2012 at 10:17 PM

I totally understand what Brandi is saying! The bonus chapters of Fifty just left me wanting more! He was soooo adorable!

Carla January 19, 2012 at 11:52 PM

Oh God this book started just perfect!! Oh Fifty I missed you terrible!

Jessica January 20, 2012 at 12:41 AM

Shoot I’m at Disney with the kids & exhausted from being in the parks till they close, aaaand I’m still at only 73% in Lothaire cause I keep falling asleep from being in the parks till they close!!! So frustrated cause I want to start fifty, I’ve been counting the days. Upside is I have a six hour car ride home on Sunday so I will have fifty to look forward to, hubby can talk to kiddies while mommy reads!!! So is it freakin fantastic or what? Somebody give me something….

Jennifer January 20, 2012 at 11:30 AM

I finished reading Fifty last night and I loved it! I am going through Fifty withdrawals today, kind of like that feeling you get when Christmas is over. Will definitely be reading it again this weekend at a slower pace:)

Missy January 20, 2012 at 2:30 PM

Does anyone know if there is going to be a book from his point of view. A girl can dream.

Tory January 20, 2012 at 2:48 PM

“Good going Lelliot.”……*sigh*

Inez January 20, 2012 at 4:35 PM

You guys are killing me!!! OMG! I just downloaded it, but I’m still reading Lothaire (which is great!) I guess I should be thankful we’re going have a snow storm! I can read all weekend!!! Can’t Wait! Maryse… your fifty!
Loved Paul too! Thanks for the pics!!!

**Chris** January 20, 2012 at 5:38 PM

amber January 20, 2012 at 9:55 PM

Jane January 20, 2012 at 9:56 PM

I’m at 30% and trying to make it last more than a day… And I love how it’s all nice and happy at the start… you just KNOW something BAD is going to happen… dun dun dun…….

Bia January 21, 2012 at 1:36 AM

Becky January 21, 2012 at 9:31 AM

OMG I didn’t realize this was out until JUST NOW!!

Just downloaded it, put it on my e-reader, and am ready to GO!!!!

Rebecca January 21, 2012 at 2:17 PM

Whoa…….here I sit, elbows on my knees, both hands covering my eyes….I just finished….Wow. The author knows what we NEED…yes I said need….The thoughts from Christian’s side at the end…STERLING addition to the book. I thought I’d be sad when this final book ended the trilogy, but I’m not. I just look forward to E.L. James’s next trilogy….well, I mean……CRAP! That’s a lie….Now on to lessor authors…..again……….Until I can Read Tohr’s (J.R. Ward’s) story!!

Krystal January 21, 2012 at 2:51 PM

just finished it !!!!! I loved it !!! I couldn’t go to bed until I finished it !!!!!!!! *sigh* I loved the epilogue ! It definitely has made my top fav books of all time… and Im pretty sure I’ll be re-reading the trilogy again, and again… and again !!!!!! I love my fifty shades !!!

Kelli January 21, 2012 at 3:10 PM

LOVED this book. It’s so sad to see the trilogy end but I’m hoping and praying that the bonus at the end of the book means we will see fifty shades from christians pov. I’ve never read a book that had me this obsessed before!! =]

Cheryl January 21, 2012 at 7:08 PM

Now that I’m done, two words…”Big VOID” What’s next???….Just found the first two chapters of Love Unrehearsed on Tina Reber’s website. That helped for about 30 minutes :)

Having withdrawals…

amber January 21, 2012 at 7:11 PM

you’re going to have to have a “what to read after Fifty Shades” list now…

Jodi January 21, 2012 at 8:40 PM

I LOVED IT! Shouty caps intended. LOVED the epilogue and the stuff from Fifty’s POV! Wondering what James meant at the end with “That’s all for now”? Is there more to come?

What am I going to read now?

Jamie January 22, 2012 at 9:31 AM

Finished last night and……wow….can’t find the words…..LOVED IT! Can’t wait to read your review Maryse :)
Agree with Amber and Jodi….what to read now?

Cheryl January 22, 2012 at 10:02 AM

I recommend “Gabriel’s Inferno” by Sylvain Reynard. Similar themes, rich, controlling, sex-crazed man meets innocent virgin. Gabriel’s not Fifty, but he may help fill the void. :)

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

Mariel January 22, 2012 at 12:59 PM

The book was awesome!!!!!!. I would LOVE to have read this book from fifths point of view hmmm ^_^ I’m so sad it’s over… Can’t wait to see your review!!

Mariel January 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM

Fifty’s**** lol my spellchecker is so annoying!!!!

Jane January 22, 2012 at 3:00 PM

Finished it in bed this morning…. Awwwww, I feel all mushy :-) Christian is so very addictive. Like the others, I LOVED the ending from Fifty’s POV – it makes me think of going back to the start and reading it again.
But you know what… much as I adored seeing the trilogy end and I wouldn’t have missed Fifty Shades Freed, I preferred the first two as novels. they were more intense, more of a rollercoaster, more WTF moments.

I think I need to go and immerse myself in some vampires and shifters, while I recover from an bout of Fifty-Shades-Overload :-)

Hey, I’m sure I read somewhere that EL James is currently working on a paranormal? Anyone else hear that?!?

Kendra January 23, 2012 at 9:06 AM

OMG… thank you sooooo much for introducting me to the fifty shades of FANTASTIC that is Mr. Christian Grey!!! I just finished the first two books this weekend (couldn’t put them down!!!!) and I feel like Ana’s goddess doing backflips that I have one more to read! I’m sure that I’ll feel the sadness when it’s done (I hate that about good books… they end!). I can’t wait to pick this one up, but I sooooo need to get some work done now that I blew a whole weekend in Grey bliss. I really love this “support group”… so needed… might need a Dr. Flynn after all is said and done? LOL

kendra January 23, 2012 at 9:35 AM

I know I just commented a while ago, but since then, I’ve been looking for an e-pub of this book and I can’t seem to buy it in Canada yet :( …. I checked goodreads and amazon (only .com…) and indigo and google books and ibooks!!!! aughhhhhhhh…. *crying* anyone know where I can get it before I go completely insane and combust?! Thanks in advance :)

Karen January 23, 2012 at 10:47 AM

LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! (notice shouty capitals). I just hate that it’s over though, makes me want to start reading the whole series again. What a witty and well written story. The characters are addicting, and the story compelling. Thanks for the recommendation. I look forward to reading your review, Maryse!!!

Maryse January 23, 2012 at 4:07 PM

Will be writing it tonight ;)

Tabatha January 23, 2012 at 9:57 PM

OMG…i read the entire book in 14 hours. NON-STOP!!! Definitly, won’t be disappointed! While waiting for Fifty freed, I read the other fiftys 3 times. I am gonna miss Ana and Christian. : (

arwen January 23, 2012 at 10:50 PM

Hi Maryse, love your site. It’s my first time posting here but this is one of my favorites places to go when I need a good recommendation. I live in Latin America and here this kind of literature isn’t mainstream (I have a Kindle thank God), so the info you post here is extremely helpful and very much appreciated for people like me. =)

Now, seriously Maryse?? You are killing me with these books!!!
My God…
I used to be in my save heaven of vampires and shifters, then I’m head on in these romances, and I can’t get enough!!!
I’ve loved every single one of your bad-boys, rockers, tatooed heroes (yum!!), but after I fihish each book or series, (fifty for instance), I’m having a serius episode of withdrawals, so.. since you are guilty by asociation (yes, you and your addictive recs), I respecfully suggest a “What to read IF you have read…” thread =)

Anyway, love this site and the books you have been reviwing lately, also thks to the others poster commentng and givingmore recs, please keep them coming!!

Oh, to finish this looong post, I’ll dare to recommend Megan Hart and Lauren Dane books. Wow, these ladies KNOW how to write. Very good stories, very deep, not always a HEA ending but very emotional and engaging you should try them.

Kate April 3, 2012 at 7:04 AM

Why can I not find this book on my iBooks? It is killing me I MUST have this book now……..
