in What I am reading today

On Dublin Street
Did you see that? My TBR list… shifting yet again. And this time is a first, because I have just heard about this book for the first time today, (FIVE times today, actually), and it literally moved EVERYTHING down a notch. After two mentions of it this morning, I decided I’d move it to my “next weekend” read, after I finished the one I’m reading right now, and a series I’ve been anxious to get to.

Yvette: have you read On Dublin street? I think you would love it!

Kirsten: … I want to dive into On Dublin Street.

THEN, after a third another recommendation (today), I decided to move it to my “next read” (since it was just one book) and hold off the series to the middle of the week.

Jessica: “I just finished a book I loved!! I read it in one sitting. It’s called On Dublin Street by Samantha Young. There was lots of drama and lots of angst!! You will love.”

Now, after TWO more recommendations today, it has simply pushed every book out of it’s way to my what I am reading now book.

Rebecca: Hey Maryse, don’t know if you’ve read it yet or not but I’m reading On Dublin Street by Samantha Young and I just keep thinking that you would love it! Def squee-worthy! :0)

Lise: Finished this morning and loved it!

Maryse’s Book Blog: ‎5th time it has been recommended to me today… I already got it, and now you guys are making me wayyyyy too excited to start. THAT DOES IT!!! Guess what I’m reading right now?? Yep. I can’t take the excitement anymore…. GAH!!!!

Yep, even the one that I started yesterday will have to wait, (it’s good but I’m not so far deep yet that I can’t put it down). And anyway, I just won’t be able to concentrate knowing this one is waiting for me. And after reading the synopsis, I have a feeling I know why everyone is insisting.

Craziness! I’m just tooooo excited. Off I go to read. If anyone wants to read a long with me, it could be fun!!

P.S. Now… do you seeeee why I’m always so reluctant to post my TBR lists? LOL!!!! It’s not like I ever really stick by them anyway, *sigh* but it’s just so much fun reading something I absolutely want to read on the spur of the moment. That’s just the kind of girl I am. ;) See, readers can be crazy and spontaneous too!! *giggle*

Oh goodie… It is fun to be in reading sync. Really liked this book. An adult fiction debut for this author and she included all of the elements I love. Hope you like it as well. Happy Labor Day reading!

I’m already grinning at the… “banter” in the cab.

Maryse September 3, 2012 at 6:14 PM

And Henry Cavill has been suggested and oh yes, I am absolutely using him as the my version of… Whatever this guy’s name is (I still don’t know yet) ;)

Kirsten September 3, 2012 at 6:18 PM

Oh my gosh this is so good!

Maryse September 3, 2012 at 6:44 PM

Agreed!!!! I’ve already chuckled a few times and I know it’s not a comedy. Just super witty…

Traci A. September 3, 2012 at 9:09 PM

OK – I’m buying now! I always wait too long and the author gets snapped up by a publisher and the price goes up! lol

catrina September 3, 2012 at 10:07 PM

catrina September 3, 2012 at 10:07 PM

Jessica September 4, 2012 at 1:41 AM

Ok, I will be buying this book right now after having read all of the comments! :D

Angie September 4, 2012 at 2:20 AM

This one was so good. Way more angst than I can typically stomach…but Braden was worth the effort. Good story with deeply developed and very compelling characters. Sexy and funny with an Alpha who just doesn’t quit in more ways than one. Yum. Thanks for the recommendation, Maryse! I’ll be mulling over this one for a delicious while ;)

Damn, I was planning to have a complete break after reading thoughtless, effortless and seduced in the dark these last few days…now this book has got me interested and because I live not far from Edinburgh I’m just going to have to read it?..NOW! Guess the chores will have to wait..again!

Jen September 4, 2012 at 8:01 AM

Loved!!! And I found it NOT to be too angsty. Don’t get me wrong, was on the edge of a few times, but it never sent me over. Thank Gawd. Too damn many gut clinchers lately. Exactly what I needed.

Lynn Rush September 4, 2012 at 9:39 AM

My TBR shifts very often. It’s so long, I just can’t keep up, but every once in a while one jumps ahead of the others. :)

Jen Lewis September 4, 2012 at 1:32 PM

Still reeling from Captive and SITD — total mind melt! WOW OH WOW… But I just downloaded this for tonight :0) yay! – then I have Crash and then I guess of course Clash, oh boy…. I wish I could just read all day and night and not actually have to work for a living.

Celeste September 4, 2012 at 10:36 PM

Stephanie September 11, 2012 at 5:47 PM

I cannot get past this book. It was so good in so many ways. Does anyone have any recommendations of books like this one??

Angie September 11, 2012 at 6:29 PM

Ruthie Knox’s About Last Night is a bit like this one and even better, in my humble opinion. Give it a try. Maryse mentioned this one not long ago, but I’m not sure if she’s had a chance to read it AND review it just yet. It’s awesome :)

Danielle October 14, 2012 at 8:21 PM

I was so glad that I read this book……Can’t wait for the next book in this series, well that is what it sounds like. I am one that put music to the books that I am reading and I have to say that there was something about Ben Howards album Kingdom, that I just felt like it went.

Loved this book…..
