Jackson (LOVE her!!) “It’s been years since I’ve seen him, and now I can’t do anything but stare at the gorgeous, tattooed man playing onstage. I should run. I know I should. But like a fool, I run straight back to him…“ ➜➜➜➜➜

  1. Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan <— LIVE TIJAN ALERT!!!!! HER STEPBROTHER OR HIS FRATERNITY BROTHER?!! This is the one I’m reading now (my very first Tijan book!!) and I know there are some HUGE Tijan fans here. :D !!! “He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother. Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming. I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?
  2. Bad Judgment by Meghan March <— LIVE MEGHAN MARCH ALERT!! COLLEGE STUDENT/STRIPPER IS HIRED TO TUTOR HIM… “Justine Porter is stuck between a rock and a stripper pole. She lost her law school scholarship, which means she has two choices to keep her life on track: strip for her tuition or tutor the most distractingly sexy guy in her class—the one she’s been turning down for two years straight. It should be an easy choice, but tutoring Ryker Grant could derail her plans to graduate with honors faster than two-for-one night at the Déjà Vu. Then again, topless has never really been her color…”
  3. EDGE (Gentry Boys) by Cora Brent <— LIVE!!! GENTRY BOYS ALERT!!! HE LOVED HER BEST FRIEND…The boy I’d known years ago – the one who’d loved my best friend and was left shattered by her death – was now a macho adrenaline junkie, an arrogant, womanizing hustler. There was not a single good reason on this earth to fall for him. But no one told my heart that...”
  4. Cupcake Overload (Cupcakes Book 2) by Bethany Lopez <— LIVE!!! SHE RUNS A PI FIRM ALERT! ”I was in the club’s bathroom listening to a woman screaming, “No,” and a man’s voice growling, “I know you want it.” That asshole picked the wrong restroom, in the wrong club, at the wrong time. Little did I know the a$$hole was Cade’s VP, and although we saved that woman from his clutches that night, she’d be found floating in a motel pool a month later…
  5. I’m Yours, Baby: A Yeah, Baby Novella by Fiona Davenport & Elle Christensen & Rochelle Paige <— LIVE!!!
  6. Breakout Play (The Dallas Comets Book 3) by Jaymee Jacobs <— LIVE!! HOCKEY PLAYER ALERT!!!
  7. Disengaged: A Dangerously Forbidden Love Affair  by Jamie Magee <— LIVE!! DARK READ UNDERGROUND FIGHTER ALERT! “A mindless walk to a dead-end job landed her in the path of her gambling fathers’ enemies. Her only defense was a stranger, Slayton Winslow, a known enforcer and fighter—rumored to be Odin’s prince, underground royalty…”
  8. All For Me Box Set by Alexis Noelle <— SERIES BUNDLE LIVE!!! “Follow four couples down their separate paths through love, and heartache…”
  9. The Stranger (A Wounded Warrior Novel) by Anna del Mar <— LIVE!!! EX-MILITARY RECLUSE PROTECTS HER IN HIS CABIN ALERT! “Off-grid in the far reaches of the bitter Alaskan wilderness, he wants only to be left alone with his ghosts. But he can’t ignore a woman in need—beautiful, stranded and nearly frozen with fear…”
  10. UNMASKED: The Complete Series: Second Edition by Cassia Leo <— LIVE!!! COMPLETE SERIES BUNDLE ALERT!! TRAUMATIC CHILDHOOD AND NOW SHE HIDES HER FACE... “I moved out and now I hide. I have a night job that pays the bills. Every night, I put on my mask and walk to work. Then one night, I hear and see something that will change my purpose in life… forever: a murder that will bring him to me. He says he wants to protect me. And, through a series of events I can’t fully make sense of, I find myself believing him. But our nightly visits are always cloaked in darkness. I don’t know his face and he will never know mine…

I am reading A Kingdom of Dreams and loving it!!! Such a great HR! Just what I needed :D

Jean August 22, 2016 at 3:14 PM

My TBR list is about to explode with all these recent new releases! AND, I’ve been in the land of Gann for over a week! 1023 pages is killing me! I think it is the longest book I’ve read in a long time! And I’ve been so damn busy! Hoping to finish tonight so I can start tackling all these new books.

Bethany Lopez August 22, 2016 at 4:06 PM

Thanks so much for including Cupcake Overload. I really appreciate it! :)

Amy August 22, 2016 at 4:29 PM

MARYSE IS READING TIJAN!!!!!!!

Is that a cherry I hear popping?

:P

Wait…didn’t you attempt Fallen Crest High at one point? *scratches head* Maybe not…

Grey August 22, 2016 at 4:35 PM

*beep* *beep* *beep* This is not a drill… A new Tijan book is live, F*ck it babies…. mama is NOT cooking dinner tonight, I was gonna run my day down for you, but basically it was a lot of chasing my a$$ around with both hands and a map and not getting anywhere fast. But this has the potential to make me smile, and pull me out of my rut. So cheers to that friends!

Fabi August 22, 2016 at 5:11 PM

Can I just say something silly? Well, I know I can and often do so I guess I’m only asking forgiveness. *giggle*

I have this ‘thing’…I love how authors write. *coughcough Grey’s latest post*. Even when they are sending out a Twitter blurb or writing on their blog (R.!), the phrasing is always unique and entertaining.

Thank you authors.

Fabi August 22, 2016 at 5:12 PM

*ahem* no pressure

ha!

R. Renee August 22, 2016 at 5:16 PM

LOL thanks Fabi! I don’t know about Grey, but I always read over it and thing, dang that’s terrible. I actually cringed when Erica RT’d the latest blog!

Fabi August 22, 2016 at 5:18 PM

I love it R. Your newsletter especially is awesome.

R. Renee August 22, 2016 at 5:19 PM

Thank you! I’m pretty sure you and Ashley are the only two people who read it!

Fabi August 22, 2016 at 5:21 PM

Oh my word!

EDGE (Gentry Boys) by Cora Brent is out ? !!!

I’m going to cry. I am ‘committed’ to other books right now and can NOT read it right away. It’s going to kill me. I’m sure I’m going to die over the yearning.

Maryse what would we do without you and your organizational skills sharing these release lists with us? I’d be so lost!

Fabi August 22, 2016 at 5:35 PM

Jean – there’s a note on Amazon’s EDGE page that says it’s 99 cents only on release day. Thought I’d give you a heads up just in case.

Jan August 22, 2016 at 5:42 PM

First Star I See Tonight is live in Australia. The new Susan Elizabeth Phillips :)

bev August 22, 2016 at 7:15 PM

Tempted Jan……but that price.

Jean August 22, 2016 at 7:29 PM

Thanks Fabi! I 1-clicked that so fast when I saw it, it would make your head spin, but I’m not quite ready to read it either even though I want to REALLY BAD!

Lisa M August 22, 2016 at 7:33 PM

Yeah Maryse!!! Tijan’s books are awesome & a must read!! I’m almost half way in Anti-stepbrother!! Can’t put it down. So good! Going to be a late night tonight!!!

Maryse August 22, 2016 at 7:41 PM

Almost done guys… review to come shortly.

Tessa August 22, 2016 at 7:52 PM

*thunks* She read a Tijan! I’m so jealous right now. That one looks amazing and I love the concept.

Amy August 22, 2016 at 7:54 PM

OMG guys!!! The Captive series bundle by Erica Stevens is .99!! Braith the vampire is dangerous and protective and swoon-worthy and scary and just…GAH! It’s books 1 through 6 plus the prequel (which BROKE my heart and left me with a nice solid ache for, like, 3 days) but I would recommend waiting on the prequel until after book 4 to get the full effect of it. Even the author said SHE cried while writing the prequel.

Okay, I’m done gushing. ;)

Amy August 22, 2016 at 7:55 PM

…says Tessa as she hides her book husband, Mason. :P

bev August 22, 2016 at 8:03 PM

She did, but then there was something about the heroine’s hands or feet bleeding, from out of nowhere. Can’t remember if from running or stigmata or no explanation. I think the blood freaked Maryse out.

Tessa August 22, 2016 at 8:11 PM

*eyes wide* Hmm? That thing hiding under the cover? Laundry. Ignore it.

She had issues with the nails bleeding. I wish I had a picture of my mom’s or sister’s hands. Their nails were insanely thick and when they broke, they would strip and bleed. However, it took a LOT to make them break. lol

Amy August 22, 2016 at 8:12 PM

Oh! It was something about a fingernail being ripped back or ripped off or something…right?

Amy August 22, 2016 at 8:14 PM

Yeah. What Tessa said. She posted quicker than I did. ;)

bev August 22, 2016 at 8:14 PM

Yes, Tessa.

Share those pictures.

Amy August 22, 2016 at 8:15 PM

*snort*

bev August 22, 2016 at 8:15 PM

I dot think they said, her nails were just randomly bleeding. Probably an editing issue.

Maryse August 22, 2016 at 8:19 PM

bev… yes… forever and ever… her ACTUAL fingernails just popping off and her bleeding like crazy while she was in the interview… that was just… whaaaaaa?

Then I started thinking maybe she’s a werewolf or turning zombie, but then you guys assured me it was NOT a paranormal, and so my assumption was that she was just stressed?

And I was all…

:-|

Cheryl August 22, 2016 at 8:20 PM

So looking forward to soaking in a hot tub and reading. Woken up this morning, our first day back from vacation, with a LOUD crash from a HUGE branch from our neighbors tree falling in our yard and taking down our electrical, cable, internet and phone lines and ripping some siding off the house. Huge mess! :( (

Tessa August 22, 2016 at 8:21 PM

I never thought to take a picture of their nails. I don’t think anyone else did either. Yeah, I just imagined she had strong nails and rip, bleed at the quick. *shudders*

Maryse August 22, 2016 at 8:23 PM

Okay I just re-read it!!!!

Her father was telling her he was not her father. She was so stressed while that conversation was happening, she was gripping her chair so hard, one hand started bleeding in the nails… and then she popped off two fingernails on the other hand, and they were bleeding too.

Okay…

Hrmm. I guess that could happen. Certainly a discussion to cause a huge amount of stress.

Seems more plausible all of the sudden…?

bev August 22, 2016 at 8:26 PM

So they did pop off, lol. I think at the time I thought it was from the toll she was putting her body through.
No pnr, but maybe ……Gothic ish? So long since I read it.
Let’s imagine if she had just turned zombie, but no one reacted. The story just stayed on course.

Maryse August 22, 2016 at 8:33 PM

*snort* :P

Fabi August 22, 2016 at 8:34 PM

I automatically assumed they were acrylic tips and came off so forcefully that the sides of her fingers bled a little.

not that I would know anything about that or anything *whistles off into the air*

Maryse August 22, 2016 at 8:36 PM

*snort* *snort*

I’ve had them once, and I could DEFINITELY see tearing off the entire nail bed with those suckers.

Heck no. They scare me…

I have a nail phobia. No seriously. I do. I must have had that Chinese nail torture back in my past life. ;)

bev August 22, 2016 at 8:36 PM

Totally off topic, but I love ume plum vinegar. Yum.

Maryse August 22, 2016 at 8:37 PM

Whoops. Make that Japanese nail torture:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bamboo_torture

Maryse August 22, 2016 at 8:38 PM

I love Sake. :)

MichelleS August 22, 2016 at 8:40 PM

Argh!!!!! I can’t get Kingdom of Dreams. You guys are teases!!!! Argh…….

I’m reading Karina Halle’s “Veiled”. Totally sucked in already. And Dex!!! He still cracks me up. I forgot how much I loved words like “twatwaffe” and “douchecanoe”. And wasn’t Dex the one that coined the phrase “Angel fucker”? Gotta love Dex!

Amy August 22, 2016 at 8:43 PM

Mmmmm…plum sake…

Amy August 22, 2016 at 8:45 PM

Y’all are trying to get me drunk.

I’m commenting here and have two different text conversations going on at the same time. Let’s just hope I keep them all separate. *snort*

And before you drop your minds in the gutter…no, neither of them involve sexting. ;)

bev August 22, 2016 at 8:48 PM

Cheryl, that sucks. And was probably scary. I’m always worried about that, my trees and theirs.

bev August 22, 2016 at 8:49 PM

Hey, I’m talking about vinegar. The pretty pink yummy vinegar. You & Maryse turned it into sake.

MichelleS, none at your library. She and Garwood used to be a library staple.

R. Renee August 22, 2016 at 8:51 PM

I’m addicted to Sherry vinegar. I toss it on roasted potatoes and carrots after they come out of the oven and I use it in potato salad (sprinkle it on the hot potatoes then let them cool) YUMM!

MichelleS August 22, 2016 at 8:53 PM

Nope. They have other titles, but not that one. I can order actual book at Amazon. Yuck. My eyes can’t take that. Need kindle version. Can’t believe there’s no kindle version.

Amy August 22, 2016 at 9:01 PM

Whoa…what happened to Cheryl??

*scrolls up*

How scary! I’m glad you’re safe though. You’re homeowners insurance will cover everything, right?

Lisa August 22, 2016 at 11:02 PM

Thanks for the tip on Captive Series Amy. Ive never read any of this series. One clicked.

Fabi August 22, 2016 at 11:54 PM

I think you’ll like it Lisa. It’s been a couple of years but I remember reading the entire series back to back.

Jan August 23, 2016 at 1:35 AM

Michelle S try abebooks.com. Fantastic range of secondhand books available online. They often have copies of older paperbacks.

Jean August 23, 2016 at 10:14 AM

Hey guys! Have you seen the cover reveal for All In (Full Tilt Duet Book)? It’s gorgeous!

Amy, thanks for that info on the Captive series…..1-click!

Was going to read Anti Stepbrother next but I’m really squirrelly today! And Maryse’s rating…..so who knows what I will end up starting!

bev August 23, 2016 at 10:39 AM

Jean, did you finally finish?

Jean August 23, 2016 at 2:46 PM

I’m at 92%!!! Trying to finish now that the boss left for the day! Lol! I have no idea how it will end!

Cheryl August 23, 2016 at 7:41 PM

Power back on and tree debris cleaned up. Luckily the tree was on “township” property along the road, so the township came out and cleaned it up. Now just have to get the siding put back on the house.

Just finishing Neighbor Dearest. It was a good read, not much angst, but for the most part it kept me interested.

Now not sure what’s next.

Melinda August 25, 2016 at 4:01 AM

Michelle s I just googled electronic version of kingdom of dreams and you can read it on an iPad for free. Through a website. So maybe try that.
