Throwback Thursday: On This Day on Maryse’s Book Blog – February 19th…

February 19, 2026 By Maryse Leave a Comment

IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER INSTALLMENT OF THROWBACK THURSDAY and what stood out to me the most in this one, was my “it’s almost the end” of the Sookie Stackhouse series news (I was… devastated since I LOVED that series like crazy and devoured every book).

So I found an fun old photo of me in a Merlotte’s t-shirt (you can see the original below) and I thought it would be fun to… re-imagine me as Sookie. Or at least, as one of her colleagues. 😉

All that to say, there’s been plenty of book fun, on this day, February 19th since the start of my blog, and here is a look back blast from our book past!

P.S. If you see a feature that I used to include, that you wish I’d bring back, let me know!

Reader Question… Solved! The book where she’s works at a summer camp & finds out a pro sports team is there…

Sue is looking for this one! Sports romance and the camp counsellor. YAY!! I love the sound of it already. Why do I feel like TESSA BAILEY had one like this?

She asks:

Hello Maryse,

I need some help in finding a book. If I’m remembering Correctly, it was a semi popular book/author.

The female lead works in a camp (think summer camp that you stay with multiple activities, such as archery, swimming, arts and crafts, etc).

She finds out that a pro/semi-pro team is staying there. I’m not 100% sure on the team, but I think it might be a basketball team. read more

Reader Question – The book about the woman that sought refuge at the grumpy rancher’s home…

February 19, 2025 By Maryse Leave a Comment

Sarah needs our book help! Oooooh I think I read this one!!! I’ve read a couple like this years ago ’cause I’m always a sucker of a disgruntled, grumpy Hero.

She asks:

Hey Maryse,

I’m trying to find a book I read a few years ago, but I can’t remember the title.

From what I recall, it was about a woman who sought refuge at the hero’s house but I am not sure about this part. I think he was either a cowboy or a rancher, or maybe the story was set in a small town—I’m not entirely sure. read more
