Reader Recommendations – Our Favorite Dragon Shifter Books

DRAGON SHIFTER LOVERS REJOICE!!! LOOK AT THIS LIST!! 😀 While I was a HUGE paranormal romance girl, I was always more attracted to the vampires than to the shifters. Mind you, there are a few shifters that rocked my book world, and Joleen asked for this,

Joleen: Please recommend the best Dragon Shifter books.

…so let’s make a list of your most hottest, most favorite dragon shifters ever.

Mony: …my all time favourite book in this genre is Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. I’m thinking it’s time to do a re-read. 🙂 …don’t let the poor book cover fool you…While not a series, an excellent read…writing is good, steamy, good story, bad ass H and h… 🙂

Harper: I read Dragon Bound last week. Yes, the cover doesn’t do it justice at all.

Regina: Thea Harrison, Elder Races (Dragos)

Pamela: I absolutely loved this book. I have not read many books with dragon shifters and I enjoyed it very much. I loved the dynamic between Pia and Dragos. I also like the build up of some other stories and characters yet to come. This was a great start to a new series.

Kristina: Jaymin Eve is I guess considered more paranormal? Love love love her Dragon Marked

Tessa: Dragon Marked – Really liking it. The whole YA/NA thing had me laughing. Kind of like she’s giving herself permission in case it gets steamy. I’m half way through and it’s heavy on the relationship between characters, not romantically yet, but true friendship/ bonding type thing. I love that stuff.

Also, it’s definitely setting up the world and story for more. The heroine is the POV, and her head is fun to be in. I wish I could quote this, but I always forget to highlight as I read. I’m too involved in the story. *grins*

Rachel Higginson: GA Aiken! (Dragon Actually book #1)

Nara: For those who like dragon shifters – try GA Aiken’s Dragon Actually – cover’s pretty yummy too.

Christine: GA AIKEN Dragon Series Books A MUST read…Awesome series…will have you laughing out loud

Maria: Dragon Kin books by her alter ego G.A. Aiken. I’m talking fall-off-the-couch laughing here, especially the further you get into the series. The family interactions remind me of the Bridgertons by Julia Quinn, only a little more violent and with dragon shapeshifters instead of English nobility. (;

Natasha: G.A. Aiken my absolute favourite

Joanne: Dragon Kin

Samantha: Lani Lynn Vale’s I Like Big Dragons series for sure!!

Kathy: Lani Lynn Vale wrote a 3 book paranormal series ( I Like Big Dragons). I enjoyed this series. The second book in the series is free (which never happens!!). It is called Dragons Need Love, Too.

DG: So I will admit the title caught my attention…BIG time. I Like Big Dragons and I Can Not Lie by Lani Lynn Vale. Just got to say…I love the whole dragon who can telepathically communicates with their bonded person thing. Maybe it goes back to How to Train your Dragon? Everybody loves Toothless…right???

Who knows, but I loved this book. Strong, hot alpha…everyday h who turns into a badass strong h. Dragons, baby dragons, bad guys ….oh my!!! Shed loads of smexy scenes!!! Not my usual read but LOVED it none the less!!!!

Debra: Rhage… Black Dagger Brotherhood

Rease: The BDB books are amazing as well. There is so much detail from the color the the hellrens eyes, to the color of rhages scales when he releases his curse. Amazing. I literally feel as though I am with the brother and the angels when I read their books. Lost to my own world while I read about theirs.

Rachel: …the way she describes Rhage kinda makes me melt a little!!

Noelle: My favorite book is Lover Eternal. I LOVED Rhage! I remember in one scene, his dragon comes out and the heroine isn’t afraid at all and goes to him. The other were afraid that he would hurt her but he didn’t. I think he curls up to her and basically acts smitten. It was so sweet.

Nancy: God what’s it called the fading lands the terian soul!?

Maryse: YESSSS!! Lord of the Fading Lands!!!

Janie: I am in absolute love with the series so far! I think if you are a fan of A Court of Mist and Fury, along with the other two books in that trilogy, you would like this series too. It’s called Tairen Soul by C.L. Wison. Book one is called Lord of the Fading Lands.

MichelleS: Back to the Fading Lands…. sigh… made my day! …OMG!!! …The magic. The lore. The pain & suffering. Epic. Truly. You will love it. I just know it.

bev: Katie Macalister Aisling Grey series is funny and sexy with a dragon shifter hero and one of the best side kicks EVER in Jim. He is a demon and decides to take the form of a Newfoundland.

Laura: Oh oh bev so I have finished all aisling greys and I moved onto the silver dragons loved them as aisling and everyone is still in them then also went on to the light dragons so um yeah I read them all lol so greatful for that recommendation!!!

Michaela: I’m actually rereading Katie McAllister’s Aisling Grey series! Love it 🙂

Missy: …check out Ava Ward’s Royal Dragon Shifters of Morocco. First book, Royal Dragon Bind, is a bit of a slow burn, but damn does the story and the heat pick up as the series unfolds. I’m completely hooked on this guilty pleasure series!
