PRIME DAY FUN DAY #4 + Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – 07-11-2025

HAPPY LAST PRIME DAY!!! At least for now. All good things must come to an end and allllll the amazing deals will too (at least of the Prime Day variety). Today is the last day we can indulge in everything we’ve been wanting and everything we didn’t even know we wanted until now but soon…our fun things will arrive and we’ll have new products to explore (or just revel in the amazing opportunity to stock up in our favorites).

Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector <— EXCELLENT DEAL HERE!!! Small little bottle of hair conditioning perfection (but it’s not actually a conditioner. You put it on your hair AND THEN wash it out and condition etc etc. It rebonds your hair and my hair becomes absolutely silky. Just check out the reviews!!). I usually pay $30 or more for this bottle and it’s on Prime Day sale right now so I’m buying myself another one!!! This stuff ROCKS. —> IT SEEMS ALMOST ALL OF THE OLAPLEX LINE IS ON PRIME DAY SALE (other treatments, shampoo & conditioner etc) so check them all out here.

L’Oreal Paris Hair Color Root Cover Up Temporary Gray Concealer Spray Light Golden Brown (Pack of 2) <— MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SOLUTION for not being ready to dye my hair yet,but having some greying at the temples and surrounding area. So THIS fixes it. And a TWO pack is on Prime Day sale so I got this color. Normally I get light brown or dark blonde and while light brown I like slightly more for the depth, I always wished I had an in between and I had NO idea a “golden light brown” existed so I am so excited to try it. Light brown is a bit too dark and cool for my actual color (I really have to have a light hand), dark blonde is a bit to light and meh for my hair color – that richness isn’t there, and well.. the “red” is WAYYY too red for me (I was once a redhead but apparently not so much anymore). *sigh* So… all that to say I’m SO excited to try it, and I got it on sale too. This thing is a little powerhouse, and when I’m not having to pull out my whole carpet cleaner (or I don’t have time for the whole shebang) this little guy does the trick. Like… when someone ate something that does not suit his stomach *sideeyes Havoc, my dog!!*), or like when my 16 year old MinPin has an accident, this thing to the rescue. Clinique Almost Lipstick Tinted Lip Balm in Black Honey and Pink Honey <— PRIME DAY DEAL!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BLACK HONEY!! I’ve been using this one for a decade as well (it’s the truth that it suits ALL skin types), but gave my last one to my sister when she was visiting ’cause she tried it on out of curiosity if it would suit her and I about fell over when I saw how gorgeous it looked on her. And she has those nice plump lips so it really showed it off. So I gave it to her. And just re-purchased myself a new one at this price. How could I not. Also… I’m really torn because I’m IN LOVE with the “Pink Honey” color and watched a few videos of people trying it and yeah… I’m a very subtle pink, barely there lip color lover (I like to layer on my buxom tingly plumping lip glosses on it) so I’m definitely wanting to try that one. Yep. I think at that price, I should get one of each. 😉 Annnnnnnd done.

SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian Bum Bum Cream<— THIS IS MY FAVORITE BODY CREAM IN THE WORLD! Smells decadent and amazing (like tropical fruit but not so fruity, sweet and warmer… richer), everyone stops me to ask me what I’m wearing, and I converted my colleagues at work to it, too. Super moisturizing, and it has caffeine in it I think, to tighten things up. And the name makes me laugh ’cause we call our “butt” a “bum” or for kids, a “bum bum” in Canada.

Lysol Disinfectant Laundry Sanitizer & Scent Booster <— I USE THIS WITH EVERY LOAD (that I don’t use bleach in). So all my colors, my darks, without fail, I use this (my whites, get bleached). I have dogs, so any chance I get to actually disinfect (while I wash) makes me feel so much cleaner. All the throw towels, the t-shirts, the outdoor gardening sweaty work clothes, socks… ALL OF IT washed with this product. Everything comes out smelling so fresh, and I just feel better knowing there’s an extra layer of clean in that load. So… it’s on PRIME DAY sale, and while I normally buy it at Costco, they are out of stock and pretty much only get it in stock once a year. ROAR!!! At least mine does, and I always have to buy a bunch of bottles, so I’m going to take advantage of this one.
