She said:
I’ve read a load of stinkers the last 30 days…I’m not subjecting you to those…I’m just sending low reviews into Amazon…these are so so bad I can’t get through them…sometimes not past the first chapter. Plus I binged Ilona Andrews new book in the new series…so so good. Those two need to write faster.
Elina Avada: Marrying Her Was Easy Losing Her Was Hell: (Release Date 8-1-25)
This book was released in August 2025. It captured my interest because of the title and the description of the MMC who is the biggest deadbeat husband I’ve yet to encounter. For the seven years of his marriage to the FMC, he considers marriage and family to be a prison, ignores his family to play video games with his bros, and is a general waste of space. The book is well written and an easy read.
The main themes are:
A marriage that occurs due to an unexpected pregnancy not love.
A compassionate, hard working, loving FMC who functions as a single mother in a marriage, who carries the full weight of household responsibilities and parenting. She works two shifts, does all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and is the only caregiver for her daughter. She’s become a doormat.
A MMC who is not happy being married. He views his marriage as an unwanted burden. He treats his role as a husband and father as optional, excessively prioritizing video games and friends over family, and intimacy…a case of total neglect. He’s entitled, selfish and immature.
Communication is an issue. The FMC repeatedly tries to talk to the MMC about their marital problems and the MMC constantly avoids any confrontation.
BE ADVISED…SPOILERS AHEAD

The FMC lets this go on for seven years always making excuses (lies) for him to her daughter, teachers, other parents, family members, even herself.
After seven years of neglect, the doormat has had enough…she moves out and files for divorce.
Chaos ensues for the MMC as a result of the consequences of taking his family for granted and refusing to learn to be a responsible adult partner.
The MMC begins to rebuild for a new future.
The ending was a bit implausible regarding the MMC, but that’s just my opinion.
