Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – 08-25-2023

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! A whole weekend of relaxation awaits me (no shopping sprees planned this weekend) but maybe I’ll hang a few things, like a mirror I had at my old house that I just clued in on the perfect spot for it. 🙂 Maybe some planting stuff, too.

NEW FUN FRIDAY THING that I want to do: My “favorite thing this week (so far)” is…

My Hobbit’s silly little good morning dance that she does. She’s my miniature Pinscher (min pin) and she’s 16 years old, has a stiffening spine, and all the signs of aging, and yet, when she’s hungry and excited, she does a whole body wiggle, bow, spin thing that makes me laugh. Taps her front feet and spins one way, stops, and spins the other way. That’s when I know she’s happy and feeling well, and I just love her to death!!

Aimee: I just finished the 3rd book in a series You have already posted for me!!! It’s the MC Mafia crossover series
The Outlaw Chess Series by: Harley Diamond. I have finished  Ace (4 stars) Dirty Cillian (5 stars)

And just finished RAZR (5 stars) it was so good! They just keep getting better!!!! I’m now on Dirty Dylan and I have a feeling that there are secrets fixing to get revealed!!!!! Dylan is the shy computer nerd for the mafia family so I’m only on chapter two and I cant wait to see where she takes it!!!

YOU DEFINITELY HAVE TO READ THEM IN ORDER!!! They are not boring with how they are written!!!

Dirty Dylan (4 stars) and the tears start and still haven’t stopped with starting Dirty Eoin….😭😭😭😭 I know there has to be a silver lining to this!! Ugh!!!

This has been the best series I’ve read in a while!! Dirty Dylan I skipped a few because I ways so anxious! Ugh!

Maryse: CREEEEEPY cover, and what a story!!! I devoured it in practically one sitting and my mind was RACING!!! Recommended a bunch by our own book-crew here, and I have no doubt why it was a #1 New York Times Bestseller.

It kept me guessing, it kept me on the edge of my seat and best yet (and one of the main reasons I read psych-thrillers) is it had a jaw-dropping, gasp-worthy twist. OH HECK YES IT DID!!! I’m SO GLAD I one-clicked it (price be damned!! It was worth it!!) 😀

Sue: i absolutely loved this book! Loved the way the chapters were set up and I was surprised by the ending. Just wow!! Five plus stars for sure!!

R. Renee: I’m reading The Seven Year Slip and loving it. I was at 30% and the next time I looked, it’d jumped to 67%! That never happens–where I’m so lost in a book I don’t even glance at the percentage!

Maryse: I love when that happens. OR!! When I constantly look at what page I’m on because I’m dreading that it might almost be over.

Kate: I just finished All Of You this weekend. Loved it! Just the right amount of angst and sweetness. …Boy oh boy….total book hangover …

Maryse: YES!!! This is one of my absolute favorites. What a slow burn and so different than our usual college aged romance. YUMMMMMY!

Tanya: I really enjoyed this one as well. The build up was almost painful but so worth it in the end. Bennett was amazing. Bad boy look with a heart of gold. Intoxicating combination.

Maryse: Oh YES Tanya!!!! Excruciating pain, but the best kind of it. Exactly one of my favorite things to feel, while reading.

Val: I just finished this. I started when I woke up and didnt stop. Couldn’t stop. So good. I haven’t met a guy I loved this much in a long time. Thanks for the recommendation. I didn’t want it to end. Except for I needed it to so I could resume my duties as mom to my kids. 🙂
