Monday Early Bird Book Releases – 01-16-2023

HAPPY MONDAY EARLY BIRD RELEASE DAY!!!! And today, I’m exceptionally excited about this SUPER-DEAL FIND!! Thank You for Listening: A Novel by Julia Whelan <—- I LOVE this author (I read and 5-STARRED her book “My Oxford Year“), this book has been touted as a 5-STAR read, AND this author is also a well-known (and MUCH loved audiobook narrator).

I JUST ONE CLICKED THIS SO HARD!!!!!

Connie: Thank You for Listening opened up a whole new world about audiobook narrators. Shockingly, it is better than My Oxford Years. The banter! I had NO IDEA Julia Whelan is a narrator. Fascinating world and what a great story she wove in that environment.

Rochelle: I really love Julia Whelan. Thanks for listening. A long extremely well written novel. I love that she didn’t make it into 3 books. Her first book My Oxford Year hooked me to her talent. She narrates with so many characters.

THREE THINGS:

1.) I’m reading “Spare” by Prince Harry. Early on into it, but I’ve already highlighted some incredible thoughts, and reflective realizations. Stuff I can TOTALLY relate to (or maybe I just completely understand him?), that touched my soul.

2.) I’m also reading Lessons in Chemistry: A Novel (another much-loved 5-STAR read according to many). I am enjoying it (about a third of the way though). The story and characters are endearing, but it’s not keeping me up at night reading. At least… not yet. I love the dog BIG time. How clever, to incorporate him the way she did. He better not die!!!!!!

3.) I was bad this weekend. I had pasta. A whole dish full! Even better than just “pasta”, it was a chicken parmesan fettuccini dish at a local “fun/bar-type food” restaurant called “Geckos“. Bar food maybe, but they have a bunch of other higher-end dishes too, and that pasta dish rocked my world. YUMMMMMMMM!!! Next, I’m going to have their chicken piccata which is one of my ultimate favorites (and shockingly, it does NOT come with pasta, so at least I’ll be good-er… eating that). 😂
