Happy Early Bird Monday!!! We have almost 30 new books today (and I’ll add more if I see them). The majority of the book covers for the early birds are so colorful and fun! I’m loving just looking at this list alone…
Three things:
1.) I just received some of my absolute favorite coffee from Angelinos Coffee. Cinnamon Twist! It is subtle in the cinnamon-part (tastes like an amazing rich cup of coffee), but their’s a touch of cinnamon and hazelnut flavor that makes it rich and yummy! 😀 Guess what I’m having right now? P.S. I found out about them through Facebook ad (an awesome trial kit that was super cheap) and their coffees are truly the best of all of them that I’ve tried (and I’ve tried A TON now – all sorts of brands, roasts and flavors).
2.) The Google commercial during the Super Bowl made me want to cry so bad.
3.) My latest 4.5 STAR review is up!! Book Review – Daisy Jones & The Six: A Novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.) The February Amazon First Reads choices are up!
Tasha J: Kindle Firsts are here! I actually got something other than a thriller and went with In an Instant It sounds amazing and I’m really in the mood for it…
Maryse: YAY!!!! YES!! That’s the one I got too. It sounds amazing and I’m in the mood to start it right now. 😀

Good morning!
1, I can’t believe I never had penne alla vodka before yesterday. My friend made it for super bowl party and I’m in love. YUM! Can’t wait to make it.
2, Smaht Pahk! Omg…that is hilarious. I cannot stop giggling over that commercial. Wicked funny! (see what I did there??)
3, My belly is a-rumbling so I’m going to go make a smoothie. I have a perfect overripe banana and frozen berries/mango.
At the mention of penne MY stomach is a r-rumbling!!!
1. I’ve replant my pothos. I had to use the smaller pot that came in the set bc my big one was used for another. Now I know I definitely need another big one. I’m going to hold off until April at least to get another set. Or see if any of the stores have anything bigger. Right now the stores are a dead end. I went to Walmart last night (first time in a LONG time) and they don’t have didly squat here. It’s such a mild winter, I suppose I thought there might be more out. Going to the flower shop sometime this week. I did get a book of inspirational quotes to color. As if I color a lot 😂 but it looked really cool.
2. We saw Jumanji 2 last night and it was hilarious! Loved it!!
3. I only watched the halftime show last night. I thought it was high energy and really fun. At the point she got the pole out I said, *gasp* no she isn’t! But it was tasteful (ish) in my opinion. My daughter did make a comment about her lack of shorts *snort* but I said last year Adam Levine took a layer of clothing off with every verse he sang and he sounded horrible.
I have an amazing plant nursery not too far from me. I think I will take a trip over there this weekend. This guy has the fullest plants!!
Ugh, I’m jealous. I love to look.
Agreed, I was shocked at the backlash. I wondered afterwards if we were watching the same show. Their attire was no worse than swimsuits today or even some dancing with the stars outfits.
I only watched the halftime show too and I loved it! My favorite in years! I can’t believe so many people didn’t like it! And the Latin theme in Miami was fantastic.
Right! I loved it, made us want to dance too.
Nothing does that to me except tequila.
😂😂😂
I found one near me last summer and the annuals we usually get were double the price (but double the fullness) so I bought them. Thanks to the hubs wrapping our patio with a clear tarp, they’re still blooming and gorgeous! It works as a greenhouse! Is anyone familiar with annuals? If they never freeze do they just keep going? I expected them to die anyway but they’re showing no signs of it!
I am clueless on annuals, but I did have a beautiful Hibiscus in my front yard area that was still blooming and super-fluffy even in cold weather (30s weather)… until it finally froze last week over night. She’s completely bald now. *sigh*
Hopefully she bounces back.
They should keep growing if they don’t freeze. Probably after awhile if they make it to the spring/summer you might need to cut them back some if they get spindly. Be sure and fertilize in the spring. Good luck. I’ve never lived in a climate where I had the option of growing annuals all year. A friend in CA says that after awhile she ends up throwing her tomato plant away because she says she doesn’t take good care of them and they get out of hand. She has a couple growing so she plants a new one and kind of rotates her plants.
Some annuals, especially flowers, look good smaller and more compact and not with that overgrown look
I liked the halftime show but especially liked the game. Those were my CHIEFS that won and we’ve been waiting 50 years for that trophy! Ok I’m done talking.
My boyfriend was voting for the Chiefs too. 😉
Oh and they were both so beautiful. HOLY MOLY.
Yeah, great covers. thanks Maryse.
and I’m looking for a book, if anyone could help.
it’s college romance, in Australia, the heroine is tall and very thin, hero doesn’t talk much. heroine isn’t a virgin, her ex treated her bad, made her feel like she’s not sexy or something of that sort.
at one point there’s a hot scene where the heroine tries to be creative, she uses honey, not sure how.
something happens to cause some drama then she finds out he started smoking again.
with hea and not too much angst.
YAY Cat!
I’ll create a post for your question on Thursday and hopefully we’ll find it (unless we find it before). 😀
I’ll message you again as soon as it’s live.
Hi Cat!
I just posted your reader question here: https://www.maryse.net/reader-questions/reader-question-the-college-romance-book-set-in-australia-with-a-tall-thin-heroine-a-hero-doesnt-talk-much.html
Keep an eye on it and let us know if you see the right guess. 😀
Good “morning”!
1. Just threw this in the crock pot (but doubled it) https://bit.ly/2ujoy0b. Serving it with “fried” low carb tortillas (sprayed with olive oil Pam and baked) and a lettuce/tomato salad with lemon and vinegar. I’m soooo hungry!!
2. Temporarily gave up Diet Coke so I’m also soooo grumpy! 😂
3. I’m back to my iced tea experiments now that I have a new Ninja! So far it tastes PERFECT. I just have to get the amounts down so I can make a gallon at a time!
Yum! Iced tea n tacos. Now I’m hungry too…We’re having pbj for supper. 🙁 Because I’m taking my son to karate some distance away through supper time this is what I came up with. I have terribly slow eaters and this is doable for a car ride. *sigh* I’m gonna need to get more creative. I made up for it by making a hearty veggie soup for lunch, w/ground turkey n sweet taters.
That soup sounds AMAZING!!!
I’m on a tea kick too, but all herbal teas. I love having a few different flavors to savor to relax in the evenings.
