HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!! I hope your weekend was as fun and fulfilling, crazy and equally relaxing, as mine. 🙂 What did you do?
THREE THINGS:
1.) I had a fun-filled weekend that actually started on Thursday, where I went to two amazing places. Mazzaro’s Italian Market (HOLY MOLY that place was bustling and alive and electric with incredible energy.) I thought being there early afternoon on a Thursday would mean peaceful and relaxing (’cause I heard it can get CRAZY full in there and lines out all the way to the street) and while it wasn’t THAT crazy, it was full and chaotic (in a good way) anyway. We got Italian subs, chicken parmesan sandwich, and also took home a few bottles of wine, marinara sauce, and the most amazing meatballs ever!
Also went to RumFish Grill that evening (thank goodness for the Yeti cooler to keep our Mazzaro’s purchases fresh and cold), and had an amazing ceviche, and got to see the beautiful HUMONGOUS fish tanks. I got a t-shirt or 3, too. 😉
2.) I spent a super relaxing weekend listening to music, snuggling and conversing, cooking (well I was just making salads 😉 ) and finished the latest Ozark Season AND the latest episodes of Tommy & Pam. <— HOLY MOLY that show!!! Episode two… just sayin’ 😂 I also watched Bad Boys II which I had never seen before (even though I loved the first one) and this one had me laughing so hard. GREAT movie with super crazy and chaotic stunts. Pretty cool!
3.) I finally tried my hand at Aldi yesterday, hoping to find some crazy good stuff in that “special weird stuff aisle”. I didn’t find anything that I needed or that spoke to me, but I did buy a breakfast pizza (yet to be made, and I’ll probably only pick off the top), and also some of the best pork rinds I have ever had (one dill pickle bag and one chili lime bag) and OMG. I will go back to Aldi regularly just to get those (perfect texture and flavor). Also some crazy brownie caramel chocolate bar from Europe which was delicious! I only ate a square or two. 😉
Also got some deep fried macaroni & cheese balls (that we baked in the oven). Meh. Nowhere near cheesy enough. Also a couple of bottles of wine, where only a sip was needed to decide… NOPE. Off they went, too.

1. Just finished nannying grandson for 5 weeks and now in home city. No more early wake-ups, teething issues & chasing a rambunctious tornado all day. But I will miss him.
2. Great Thai food last night after our road trip home. Daughter & SIL ordered us a great meal as part of their thanks. Favourites: Nuer Takai (crisp lemongrass beef), Tom Sum (spicy green papaya salad).
3. Spending day in bed! Reading some BOTMs. A lighter read I think.
Getting Real by Emma Chase? Deconstructed by Liz Talley? The Grump Who Stole Summer by Ella Fields?
Spending the day in bed reading is my favorite!!!
Also crisp lemongrass beef sounds amazing. I’m not too well versed in Thai food.
day going great 🙂
lol, now that bad boys song is in my head! 😂
1. I should be doing something productive but instead I’m watching last night’s pairs skating.
2. This is my new favorite recipe (OMG soooo good!!) https://bit.ly/3owtiIH
3. I watched the new(ish) Candyman the other night and I LOVED IT!! It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a movie that much, especially a horror! Have you seen it Maryse? I kind of wish I would have watched the original first as a refresher.
That chicken looks AMAZING!!!
Oh MY!!!! I’ve been seeing the Candyman movie as a suggestion for me on my Firestick and I keep skipping over it. Guess what I’ll watch tonight?! YAY!! Thank you R!
Yay! Let me know what you think!
I love the recipe for Hot Clementine Sumac Roast Chicken! (Sent it to my daughter)
I had to get the sumac on Amazon but it was worth it! I also used mandarins because clementines aren’t available here.
I literally just bought Sumac about a month ago after seeing a recipe on Pinterest, and needed to know how else I can use it. I will definitely be trying this dish!
I’d never heard of it before!! How was your recipe?
I loved watching The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window.
Ever since Veronica Mars, I’ve enjoyed Kristen Bell, and she does a great job in this one too.
Oh I watched that series too!! Loved it!!
