HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY EVERYONE!! 🥰 I hope your day (and weekend) has been filled with all the love. 🙂
THREE THINGS:
1.) I celebrated Valentine’s Day on Saturday and had the best day ever. I am so happy and at peace, and… just… love abounds! I received so many sweet gifts (from super-soft pink & grey plaid pajamas embroidered with my name, to cool kitchen stuff, to a super-sweet framed photo to 2 dozen roses!!! Oh and Godiva chocolates. *glares at the delicious chocolates*)
2.) It was a day of amazing meals (home-cooked!!) like fish and shrimp tacos mid-day, to an amazing comfort food of chicken breast and potatoes in the crockpot with cream of chicken soup, and some rice, and an amazing Cesar salad, and a wonderful bottle of wine with our meal.
3.) Sunday was bittersweet as I had to say goodbye to my Valentine, but it’s only a temporary goodbye. 😉 Happy.

Happy Galentine’s Day ladies!
1. I’m still on Whole30 through Friday, no Valentine’s wine and chocolate for me but I did get lobster, crab, and steak to make for dinner! Usually the hubs cooks for me, but I don’t trust him with shellfish! 😆 Or steak, TBH…
2. I made this Saturday night, and while it was fantastic, it was the peppers that really stood out! Leftover, they’re pretty hot, so be careful! I just had them in scrambled eggs and it was amazingggg! https://bit.ly/34yN7sd
3. I want to watch a good ole cheesy romcom tonight but can’t come up with anything but I Want You Back and IDK…🤔
I think I’m gonna watch Marry Me tonight. 🙂
Also, I slept through the whole halftime show yesterday. *sigh*
Oooh I forgot about that one!
I saw halftime but missed most of the commercials! Need to catch up!
*gasp* This is the one year I just couldn’t wait to watch it. I loved it, took me back to my teen years.
I watched Marry Me this weekend and I really liked it.
Hi !
I’m in the mood for a Pretty Woman type of romance novel. Can somebody rec me anything ?
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I loved that one… but I don’t know any off the bat, with that trope…
I wanna watch “Marry Me” !!
Happy Valentines Day!
1. The kids went to their Grandparents’ one night this weekend and I went out of my hermit status norm and went to an indie book store a couple hours away and had dinner after at an Italian restaurant with moody lighting and rustic charm. Hubs got some Cajun blackened salmon and I got a herby garlic buttered chicken with mushrooms, both with a side of linguini. And I chose soup rather than salad- it was Italian wedding soup and was delish! I loved that all the portions were practical and the food wasn’t super pricey. And you bet I got a cannoli there and lemoncello cake to go. 😂
2. I haven’t finished a book in over a month and that is super sad. I think I’m starting to feel like it a little more though. I’ve been reading tons with the kids, but snippets of my own. I have been watching shows or movies more. Am currently watching the mini series Inventing Anna on Netflix and I find it super interesting. I’m googling after every episode to learn more. Like, does she have some kind of mental disorder?
3. I’ve been pretty good about routinely getting on the treadmill. My legs, especially my calves, hurt so stinkin bad. I’ve been mostly power walking, with a little running in between and tried to run at 5 min intervals today (succeeded) but man! My calves get SO tight and painful it’s really hard to feel like I’m accomplishing much. And I’ve been stretching before and after and not going real fast. Aging sucks. Lol
That’s awesome Tasha! I’ve been slacking! 😞 Tomorrow (later today, actually lol), treadmill or bust!
It helps that that’s when I get to put my headphones on and watch an episode of something. 😂
I have a TV above my treadmill and I was doing great until I ran out of episodes of Emily in Paris!! 😂
I tried How I Met Your Father, Vampire Diaries, some of The Originals, now Inventing Anna. There aren’t a whole lot of newer shows that interest me right now though. I watched an episode of Evil on Paramount+ that was promising, I plan to get back to it sometime here.
Ooooh Evil! I wanna watch that.
Pam and Tommy on Hulu is AMAZING!!!!
I need to just start walking around the block a few times an evening. My dogs would LOVE it. I don’t walk them on a leash because we are having a serious issue with coyotes in my area, but holding one in each arm would be like “added weights” to my walk. 🙂
OMG!! They come that close?! Who carries you?? 😱
LOL!!!! Yes… they are actually known to roam during the day now, and yank them right off the leash (or maybe… just yank the leash right out of our hands). I’m a bit paranoid now about it. I’ve seen them with my own eyes (*day!!time) and hear them at night right in the greenbelt behind my house yipping like a group of frat boys. LOL!!!
I’ve even heard that one tore through pool-cage screening to get to a small dog that was “safe” inside.
That’s terrifying! During the day the worst thing I have to worry about are giant birds, but Alice antagonizes them! At night, I keep her tied to me.
I need to read books. I need to stop falling asleep while reading books. It’s like I’m just so exhausted by the time I come home from work, I’m sound asleep by 9pm.
I totally get it. I can’t really read at night anymore bc I’m too tired to focus and J is the worst sleeper and wiggles and talks beside me until I’m so exhausted by the time he’s out, that I’m out. Sometimes I watch stuff then to pass time until he falls asleep. But, When I was reading well, I’d do it waiting to pick up kids in the carpool lane or from sports, or for an hour in the morning at least. I made a goal to read either 50 pages a day if possible or 10%. And I read aloud to help myself focus. I’m a little slower that way, but it works.
I made the resolution that I wouldn’t read in the middle of the night anymore and it cut my reading down substantially! I didn’t realize how much of my reading actually came at the price of sleep. I thought that was just something we all say! 😆 Now it takes me weeks to finish a book!
Ditto!!! This age/sleep thing is getting on my reading nerves!!!
I WANT to read. I just can’t stop sleeping and “dreaming the book” instead of actually reading the book. I think the solution is that I need to get in an uncomfortable position to read…
Happy Valentine’s Day!
1. My Valentine left for Cincinnati on Saturday so he could watch the Super Bowl with his sister and brother-in-law. They are all HUGE Bengals fans so I wanted them all to be together for the game. I could not go along because of work. 🙁
2. However…. since I had the house all to myself, I took advantage of Door Dash and hunkered down in my loft area with the curtains drawn, watching Vampire Diaries allllllll day long. I haven’t watched it in so long and I figured I was due for some Stefan and Damon time. 😉 It was absolutely wonderful and some much needed R&R!
3. I’m doing a re-read of the Legacy of the Nine Realms series so I can jump into book 4 that was released on 2/2. Each book is 500+ pages long so it’s taking me a bit and I hear #4 is close to 700 pages. I just love this series so much! I’m getting sucked right back in and can’t wait to see what happens in #4!
I love your idea of taking advantage of the whole day to yourself. I do the same thing when I decide I’m having. “a day off”. 😀
I love that your are loving Legacy of the Nine Realms!!!!
