HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!! It’s time to build our list of books that released a day early, so keep checking back, as usual. I’ve got an hour or so to go before it’s complete. 🙂
THREE THINGS:
1.) I spent the weekend in Bradenton again. It was fantastic (and I ate at this amazing Philly Cheesesteak place and also The Cheesecake Factory).
2.) I watched both Sicario movies. So good. I love movies and series about drug cartels and all the crazy stories that go with that (law enforcement, family issues etc etc..). YES! Er… wait. In movies!! Only ever in movies and series. And books. LOL!!! 😉 😂
3.) I brought my dogs with me for the weekend, and while one (Hobbit) LOVES car rides and is very calm during them, my sweet Pimmie is usually quite annoying in the car, and desperately wants to whine, can’t sit still, or sit on my lap (which is a big no for me). I can’t snuggle and drive. BUT! I have these special harnesses and seat belts that buckle right into our seatbelt-thingie, and they are magnificent! And in fact, Pimmie enjoyed the ride the entire way. She made me proud.

A win for Pimmie! Sounds like the harness made her feel secure.
1. We have some big home projects coming up. We’ll be getting concrete poured for a front porch patio 🤞 this week as long as weather cooperates. It’s been awfully rainy here. And a super big tree too close to the house that’s roots have also been giving us issues completely taken down. It’s a tough place to do it, nervous and excited for that one.
2. My spring and summer calendar is filling up fast and I’m feeling quite overwhelmed. We had a nice reprieve once swim ended, not ready to be so busy again already. I need to shove more books in before summer takes my time away!
3. Think I’m ready to get myself a family doc and take some blood work to see where I’m at. So nerve wracking. I haven’t gone to the doctor in many years and only ever go as a last resort, which, thankfully, I haven’t had to do in so long. But, I suppose I’m at the age I should be proactive and preventative if need be.
For me it’s pretty much packing my stuff that’s making me nervous. Luckily I don’t have a TON of stuff (I’m more minimalist) but over the years I’ve had my house, I *did* get more… and more… LOL!!
Family doctors are important. I think mine retired and I’ve been with her since I was 23.
I don’t envy you that! But, at least it’s not too much. I do like when you move you get a closer look at what you don’t use or need and it’s easier to throw out, but it exhausts me thinking about it. Lol! I would like to be more minimalist, I think upkeep would be so much easier, but I live with an unadmitted collector of “we might use it someday”. It’s a struggle. 😂
OMG LOL!!! 😂
Well, to be fair there are a few things that I donated that I now needed and had to buy again. Plus a pair of pajamas that I LOVED and have no clue why I got rid of that set.
I’m trying to make three a priority this year. It is hard, because like you I’ve only gone when I couldn’t ignore something. But as much as there is some anxiety I do think it is better than the not knowing.
Exactly how I feel!
1. Think I decided on my first book from my 22 in 22. Tonight I want to start Carry the World.
2. I feel like I’m craving everything and nothing. Really craving meat or maybe soup or Ramen, but for the broth. And potatoes or French fries. 🤦♀️
3. The weather is in a cold/wet phase right now (is desperately needed though) and may be why I’m craving certain foods.
1. I’m still not in a reading mood this year. I only recently hit double digits. I usually hit that before January is over. I just finished the latest by Cleo Coyle only because there was a little over a day left on the checkout time.
2. I’m watching Buffy/Angel in a recommended order. I never saw them all when they were new. It’s finally free on roku. It’s kind of annoying switching back and forth but I imagine it’s worse if you have it on DVD.
3. It snowed (Monday). We’ve already hit 70s, so it was really odd. We allegedly won’t see the 60s all week. 😕
Once my move is over, I will be back to reading big time.
Jody I’m pretty jealous of your double-digits reading… just sayin’ 😉 My new year hit the fast-track, and I’m in full-fledged life change and moving, so reading is nil. Thank goodness I have my book blog to still keep me sane.
I think I was reading more when I had my previous job because it was a way to escape the stress. I didn’t realize it at the time. I think that’s why I’ve been off to a slow start, at least by my standards. I did make the mistake of starting the second Finlay Donovan book too late and ended up staying up waaaay later than I wanted to finish it. 😆
