HAPPY MONDAY!! I’m feeling especially busy today ‘cause I have a ton of things to catch up with and it’s just one of those days. 😉 Ya know?
But! This list is currently in the making so as usual, keep checking back as it grows.
THREE THINGS:
1.) I wrote a book review!!! 4.5 STARS for this one that came highly recommended by so many here!! 😀 Book Review – Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann
2.) I’m cranky today. Spent the morning on the phone (and end of last week too) and really got nowhere. Lots of “light promises” of getting back to me soon with my requests but no workable results (one called me too early for my scheduled phone appointment and rescheduled me for next month, one sent me files I can’t open…). Moving and cancelling stuff, and scheduling stuff and changing lifestyles (or changes in general) are hard! I’m not much for change. Now I remember why. 😉
3.) Lately, I feel like making appointments with people (my accountant, or my doctor, or anybody really) is next to impossible. What’s with the huge wait times? What’s with the wrong files being sent? What’s with the unreturned phone calls? I have things to do, people, and files to update and/or download! LOL 😂 Grrrrr! Sorry guys. At least I’ll be able to read this afternoon.
4.) YAY!!! Good news! I was proactive and just found where I could get some of the files I have still been waiting on… and downloaded them myself. I LOVE when I’m resourceful! LOL!!!! One more thing I can cross off of my list.

I hope you get everything figured out soon Maryse. I hate being in limbo like that!
1. I just returned from 5 days of mayhem in north Texas and I need another Sunday to recover.
2. I’m “breading” chicken breast in cassava flour for dinner and throwing together some whole grain pasta with artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, and garlic to eat with it. Assuming I have the energy.
3. I’m FINALLY getting to see LP Friday after the concert was pushed back foreverrrr from covid.
Mayhem n Texas. Sounds like a name of a book! Didn’t your last book take place in Texas? Please share your mayhem!!! What is your next trip? You live an exciting life.
LOL it does!! And half of it did, the rest was in Miami. My new book is Texas too (write what you know and all that)! As far as mayhem, the weekend started on Wednesday with habanero infused tequila and ended 2 days later with the hot pursuit of a bunny in a swimming pool.
We have Puerto Rico booked for Halloween (our anniversary) but over the weekend I found out we’re headed back to Isla Mujeres in July. I’m looking at flights now. It’s a bucket list request for a friend. ❤
I totally get it, Maryse! 🤞 it gets worked out soon.
1. My tree was supposed to be finished today. It rained when they were here last week and they said they’d be back today and can’t until tomorrow now. This has been happening a lot with anyone we get to do work for us lately. We’re on a tight schedule as we’re supposed to be getting a replacement shed (bc of the fire last year) in just a week and have to do tear down, get a dumpster, and get the ground leveled and ready, and take down some of the fence and remove a post to get it in. The tree is in the way.
2. And it’ll be in the 80s this week and I’ve got the air conditioner all wrapped up bc of the sawdust and a trampoline sitting in the neighbor’s yard. He had to mow around it today. Ugh.
3. I’m annoyed I can’t escape with my reading as much lately. There is just so much going on and lots of interruptions. I need some quiet time. And bedtime doesn’t count bc I am whooped.
Positives- the sun is shining after sooo much rain. Most of the tree is gone. Some major organizing has been happening and I see space! School is almost over for summer. We have the best family who’ve been super helpers. I have chocolate covered raspberries in the fridge waiting for me. 😜
