THREE THINGS:
1.) It’s the last week of school! Summer should be fun, with fishing and trekking through trails plans. Searching for shark teeth and sea glass and all of that fun stuff. 🙂
2.) My best friend Sherry sent me this amazing frame with pictures of my beautiful Pimmie and a sweet message that both warmed and broke my heart at the same time. “You were my favorite hello and my hardest goodbye”. So true. ❤️ 😢
3.) My sweet Hobbit, thankfully, seems to be doing very well. I was worried she’d become depressed or withdrawn now that Pimmie is gone, but I’d almost say her behavior is very well adjusted and even happy. Lots of excited bouncing and joy, leaps like a bunny when she knows it’s feeding time, eats so well now (she’s my picky eater). I do hold her twice as much now that it’s only her… ahhhhhh there’s nothing better than happy dogs!! ❤️

1. We sat with Alice in the vet’s parking lot for about 7 hours yesterday because I’d decided she was breathing weird and panting. She’s fine but I may not survive her “senior” years.

Maryse, I’m so sorry about your Pimmie ~ the frame’s message is beautiful and so true. When I lost my cat of 20 years, my other cat started picking up certain habits of his and I’ve read that’s a common thing, so it will be interesting to see how your Pimmie shows up inside Hobbit. It’s la way of saying: Hi Mom, I’m still here. Also, side note: those are both great names!
Robin, oh no! Relieved Alice is okay! We’ve been there with our dogs. It’s like speak up already and tell me what’s wrong. Use your words. The parking lot barrier makes things so much worse. I’ve thought about keeping faux furs in the trunk just so I can wear a disguise and get into the vet’s undetected where I’m able to really monitor the situation.
& it’s the best feeling when the authors you love like your work so thank you for the support and I hope TBM doesn’t disappoint.
