Monday Early Bird Book Releases – 07-31-2023

HAPPY MONDAY EARLY BIRDS RELEASE DAY!! I’m putting together our list of early bird book releases (over the last 24 hours) including one from Abbi Glines!! 😀

THREE THINGS:

1.) I’ve got the gardening itch again!! Finally… it has not been here for an entire year, and my flower bed needs some love. That said, we’re in quite the drought right now, so I need to be selective with what I plant. I miss the Florida rainy season (which is usually all of July – but it skipped us this year). I bought a HUGE White Bird of Paradise and two small banana plants so far (and those bananas need a lot of watering, so that’s my job for now). 😉

2.) I left a lot of my beautiful pots and plants at my old house for the new owners, and I’m wishing I took them with me. *hrmph* I could really use them right now, and they were plants I took great care of. I ended up buying some pretty ceramic pots at Publix, and the sparkle up my front flower bed nicely. Now to put some plants in them. I also DID take some huge “whiskey barrel” looking planters with me from my old place, and that’s what the big plants go in.

3.) I’m testing two hair masques right now. I find my hair is dryer this year, and refuses to hold a curl. It just ends up looking like a blow out (which is nice, but no curls, and some frizz). Grrr. No matter how hard I straighten it, or curl it, it ends up frizzing, instead of having that sleek, shiny texture. So I went crazy and searched online, and found one super-expensive one (KERASTASE Resistance Therapiste Hair Mask <— I can’t even believe I paid that much for a hair treatment!! But my hair is worth it and I need help…), and one super-cheap one (L’Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair) that EVERYONE seems to love (and I mean everyone loves both). So I tried the expensive one on Saturday, and I was hoping for more of an obvious difference. It’s touchable and soft (that is a definite difference – I love “petting” my hair 😂), but still not sleek and shiny yet. I don’t like the smell out of the pot (strong and perfumey) but I DO like the smell of it in my hair (it’s more gentle), and it lasts.  I’ll give you updates over the next few weeks. Maybe next week I’ll try the L’Oréal one.
