1.) I made meatloaf this weekend. And not in a Keto way at all. Bread crumbs, ketchup, it’s in there! However, a slice here and there couldn’t possibly have that many carbs… could it? 😉
The L’ange one doesn’t smell like the old John Frieda one but it does *maybe* sort of smell “beachy” in its own way. I haven’t used any of these products yet, except for a touch of the finishing hairspray and HOLY MOLY HOLD!!! Though it’s a tiny bottle for the price. *hrmph* And so is that root booster (though I likely won’t need as much of that). I really expected the hair spray to be like a normal-sized can.

Yay for embracing your curls. I havent heard of those products, ill have to check them out. I’m not a strict with the curly girl method as I used to be but it helped a lot.
Yes!! For now I’m not completely 100% “curly girl method” in that I DO cheat on work days, because I WILL take my curling iron and take only very tiny frizzy strands that did not make it into a “curl clump” and I will curl them very quickly – like barely even hold my iron on it.
But it might only be about 10 pieces total around my entire head (only the very top layer pieces), and I only do that on work days so I can still have a more “polished” hair style…
But the more I do this, the less frizzy my hair is… and the better I am at making my curls all make it into their curl-clump families. Even in humidity (which Florida is SUPER-HUMID right now), it’s staying nice.
I am thrilled. Soon I’ll be able to go swimming, and just let my hair air-dry and not be stressed about it.
I’ve been wanting to try the Function of Beauty products. They are customized to your hair, and they even put your name on the bottles! So, for me it would say Function of Amy. My coworkers swear by them.
I have been using Amika 3D shampoo and conditioner, and for the first time ever, I can honestly see the difference in volume!
Oooooooh!!! Interesting. Are those the ones you can choose your own scent?
Yes!! They have fruity scents, warm scents, earthy scents, etc. I think I’m going to buy some after (actually, before) my Amika runs out.
1. Did a big grocery haul yesterday for back to school (tomorrow!) lunches and dinners and stuff. I hadn’t been to the store myself to do regular shopping in months.
2. When I was about finished, my Mom called to tell me J fell out of the golf cart and got ran over. Spent a while in the ER and he only has a knot on his head (we’re watching for concussion signs) and a little road rash. No broken bones. Could’ve been so much worse.
3. Have 10% left of The Guest List. I read one of the biggest complaints was too many povs, but I enjoy books written that way if it’s done well. Really liking where it’s going, think I’ve got it figured out. Was shocked big time once!

Poor little guy. That had to be scary for him. I’m glad it wasn’t too bad.

I’ve used a press for awhile but have been thinking of going back to a machine and if it makes iced too that would be a plus.
Yes, I think in the moment he was freaked. But now he won’t stop talking about doing it again. Of course we were freaked, but we held it together really well.
I haven’t used my coffee maker in a week or so. Still haven’t even got to try it iced. It’s like everyone in our circle wanted to throw summer in the last couple weeks before school started and it’s been crazy busy. I wanted to reorganize the house so the kids couldn’t mess it up again and finish sewing projects. Hubs started working 12+hr days again and family and friends started taking my help more days out of the week than not. Now, after this week, I’m hoping things settle. I bought toffee but creamer and everything so I will play with it this week. Not tomorrow tho cuz, it’s the return of PSL!!!!

Three things:
1. I’m on a tuna frenzy lately. I’m obsessed with the flavored packets and cups. They’re low in calories and have a good amount of protein. WIN! I eat at least three a day!
2. I’m sad Summer is almost over. Only one more trip to the lake and then I have to wait until next June. 🙁
3. Halfway through Heart Bones and loving it. Typical CH goodness.
I’m halfway through it too. I actually find I’m reading through it quickly and enjoying it, though this weekend I was so busy that I didn’t get much reading time.
I’ve got a lawn crew at my house trying to figure out my lawn issues. And my super-hard rains and sand/soil issues.
It really IS a perfectly-paced read. I’ve only read it in short bursts, but each time I knock out like 10%.
What’s up with your lawn? Our problem is large, yellow spots in the grass. I have a feeling it’s from dog pee. She must have acid in it. 🙄

I love the “blast from our book past” that you’ve been including!! It inspired me to re-read the Thoughtless series and then I figured I’d just keep up with the torture so I’m re-reading the Avoiding Commitment series now. I’m still pulling my hair out even though I know how it ends. 🤣

Finished The Guest List! I loved it. Lots of povs and mystery, so I know it’s not for everyone. Like a game of clue, it was!
Also, watched the 1st episode in that Dolly Parton series on Netflix today. Heartstrings or something. I’m not a huge Dolly fan, but I really liked it. Told my hubs I watched Jolene and asked him if he was a scum husband too and he said no. 😂 Yes, I realize this is crazy. And then asked him if he wanted to watch it too and he said maybe, so I said of course, that’s Jolene’s power! 😂🤣

Tonight I was annoyed with my hair for some reason…
I brushed it. I brushed the “curls”
That was dumb. Now I have a huge thick frizzy mess.
*sigh*
Lol. When i brush my hair dry it looks like cotton candy.
I sometimes use a Denman brush in the shower with conditioner.
I just ordered a Denman brush. 🙂 I hear it makes more pronounced curls depending on how you brush your hair with it.
I can’t wait to try!!
Okay so this morning I woke up with regret over brushing my hair. “Sleeping on it” didn’t fix it. I just found the curl/wave clumps looking a bit too ropey for my taste and that’s why I brushed.
So then this morning, I just misted my hair down with water (not soaking wet) and added a diluted amount of my wave-cream from the LUS kit and WOW!! It looks great. A bit fluffy in terms that I don’t have the wave clusters anymore… much more blended right now, but the waves are so soft and pretty and my hair looks fuller.
Maybe this bad experiment turned out to be something fun to try…
Finished Heart Bone, Loved it! Molly Harper has a new release today, I Loved You First. Avoiding Commitment series who is the Author? Not SC Stephens is it? Summer is moving too fast. What I would give to have some curls in my hair. Embrace them!
It’s HARD Rochelle. LOL!!! I can’t wait to overcome this frizz issue. My hair is all… “Wait… what? WE have to fix ourselves now? Where do we go, what do we do? How do we do it?”
Then they all go in opposite directions… *FRIZZ* and some just wanna be straight on the ends… so they are curly wave from the root, and then like the “curl” turns into 3 inches of stick straight.
My hair likes to wave on top and spiral at the ends. Ive just embraced it though the brush makes it look a little more uniform.
I have heard, I think, that if you live in humid places be careful of glycerin in products.
I do my hair a little differently and my hair looks nothing like hers, but she has some good tips. Especially if you are trying to keep a hairstyle for a few days. I shower every morning so 🤷♀️.

Also, last thing. Maybe try the olaplex weekly treatment. Though I dont really use heat or dye my hair I tried it like a year ago and I noticed a difference. It lasted for a few weeks. I’d do it on Sundays just leave it in an hour or more.

First treatment of Olaplex last night and so far so good!!
I left it in for about an hour and a half and as I was rinsing it out, my hair felt like satin. Today, I definitely have shiner more defined wave-curls. Of course, every wave and curl is still willy nilly and can’t figure themselves out, but at least they’re defined. LOL!!!!
And let’s not even talk about my straight clumps that have one single kink-wave somewhere in the middle. 🤨🙃
