Monday Early Bird Book Releases – 08-28-2023

HAPPY EARLY BIRD MONDAY & HAPPY START OF A NEW WEEK!! 25 BOOKS on today’s list of the latest book releases over the weekend and today!! Fall is coming, my friends, and I’ve already got my pumpkin-ish stuff out. LOL!!

P.S. There’s a hurricane on the way to my area yet again, today and/or tomorrow (yayyyyyy hurricane season 🙄 ) and I hope this time it leaves my roof (and my whole house and all my pretty plants) alone. Remember last year, it ripped our roof apart so I have a brand new roof, and I hope this one will be more hurricane resistant as they promised us.

If by chance for a day or so (or longer), I have not updated the blog, then we are likely without power. *fingers crossed* this one doesn’t affect us, and I can be back to my book world again.

THREE THINGS:

1.) I can by myself flowerrrrrrrrs… and I did. 😉 There was a rose BOGO at Publix, and I jumped on these. TWO DOZEN ROSES for $11.99. All sorts of colors, but my favorite roses are non-traditional colors (like these peachy-orange ones). I’m also a sucker for white roses. They were nice and tight on the day I bought them, and then they opened up like this and it just makes my dining room look so pretty.

2.) I think this weekend I’m going to print out a bunch of photos and put them in frames and maybe start a photo-album wall. Again, I’m always nervous with frames/art on a wall, and it looking clunky or too busy, so I’ll look online for inspiration. 😉 As my typography teacher said (P.S. I have a graphics design degree from my past life before becoming a blogger 😉 ), if you’re going to do something, do it purposefully and with intention. If you’re going minimalist, make it obvious, or go the complete opposite, but don’t be wishy-washy and all in-between. BE BOLD! Of course, he was saying this in regards to designing with text and letters, but I try to carry his advice in all aspects of my life.

3.) I’m a jam addict, and am always looking for the yummiest sugar-free ones (which is hard). But I found these Skinnygirl jams at a really good price, and so far I’ve only tasted the Apricot (I also bought the strawberry and grape – I LOOOOOVVE grape jelly!!) so I can’t wait to try those too.3.)
