HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!! New releases just went live early and I’m adding them in as we speak! 😀 Did you read anything awesome this weekend? Let me know. And… if you have “three things” to tell me, let us know that too.
THREE THINGS:
1.) Reader Questions have been coming fast and furious these days. I love it!! I still have more to post (I posted 7 of them yesterday)
2.) One of my dogs has gotten into the habit of waking me at 6:30am on the dot every single morning in the last week to be fed. I always wake up at 7am. They are fed at 7:05am. What the heck happened??? Why is she so crazy??? I’m tiiiiiiiired. She’s hunnnnnngry.
3.) I’m so glad mornings are cooler here… it means Florida’s version of “winter is coming” is almost here. 😉 And that gives me the warm and fuzzies.

1. I’m at 65% on an ARC of Red Hot Harmony by NN Britt and I can already predict I’m going to spend a good chunk of the day finishing it. It’s sooo good!
2. The Browns lost yesterday after scoring 5 touchdowns and my heart hurts today. Also my head because that’s a lot of touchdown tequila. 😭
3. My new treadmill is getting delivered tomorrow! I’m excited, but I’ve kind of enjoyed the 5 day hiatus I’ve been on since my other one bit the dust.
I’m in the market for a treadmill. I’ve never bought one so feel overwhelmed with all the online options. Just want something basic, not really bells and whistles, that’ll do the trick.
My last one was a beast in it’s day, and to replace it with the same size would have been way out of my budget, so I went cheap but solid and added a 5 year support plan. I only lost a few inches off the belt so hopefully I won’t notice it. With delivery, installation, haul away, and support, the total came to $1055. https://bit.ly/3oRrmLL
This was the runner up. The stats were pretty similar, but haul away of my old treadmill wasn’t an option and that became the deciding factor. https://bit.ly/3FyF6kx
I don’t need bells and whistles either. I watch TV when I’m on it, so the fancy screen and Bluetooth aren’t necessary. I hope it has a decent cup holder though!
Hey, these are perfect! Thanks so much. 😃 Is installation recommended or are they pretty simple to figure out?
Most of the reviews I read say 2 people can do it easily, but because of the size and my husband’s impatience when it comes to that sort of thing, I decided against it. Plus I needed the haul away. If it weren’t for that, I might have considered saving that money!
Ok, awesome! Thanks for making it easy for me.
It took the installers about 45 minutes start to finish. From what I could see, it looked like quite the undertaking, but we’re not good at putting things together. If you have the patience, it will probably be fine.
It took me a little while to figure out how to turn it on because I had to bypass the iFit service that I didn’t want to subscribe to, but once I did it was super easy to use. There are 12 preset workouts too, but I haven’t tried those yet (though I can confirm they’re not complicated). The “cup holder” is more of an accessory tray, so I bought a $10 shelf on amazon to hang nearby for my drink. Also, the fan hits me right in the face, but so far it doesn’t bother me. All in all, I’m really happy with it at this price. If you choose between the 2 I linked, I’d suggest going with whichever one has the best warranty since you don’t need haul away. They both seem to have the same specs.
Also, FYI, they almost didn’t install it because my “gym” is very small and the treadmill sits wall to wall. Apparently, there’s supposed to be a clearance behind it for safety reasons. I asked if they could just put it together in there and we’d use that room to “store” it. They were cool with that, thank god, but I’m pretty sure I signed away any liability because of it.
This is very good to know. Hubs is really good at putting things together, but if he messes it up, I’ll stress. Lol. Also, I don’t really have an open area for it either. I was just going to use it in my basement/playroom area. 😬 I’m sure I could probably pull it in and out when I needed to use it. 🤔 Maybe move a couple things around. I think it’ll be my 🎄 present! Thanks for the feedback!
You’re welcome. And if you’re putting it together you can put it anywhere. I’d pick a spot where it can stay open or you might not use it as often.
LOL touchdown tequila!!!!!!
And I LOVE NN Britt!!!!!
This last duet is my favorite so far!
I think I’m raising a teenager instead of a dog. She sleeps in every morning and will eventually come into the kitchen after I’ve been up for a while. She’ll whine for her medicine (hidden in a treat) but won’t touch her food until dinner! Even then, I sometimes have to pick her up and carry her to it, and she’ll be like “oh, yeah, food!”
Lol, spoiled pooch! Mine has gotten quite the routine in his old age, but his sense of time is off for his food too. He’s barking/pacing for it 2-3 hours before his normal feeding time. He likes his meds at the given times and will let you know it impatiently too. Lol.
He found himself a dead squirrel in the yard this morning. I panicked, big time. I don’t do death. Have always been terrified of it, so after shrieking and making a scene, had J put a bucket over it & a rock. Just till hubs came home to dispose. And then my Stepdad offered to get it hours later, but minutes prior, I let the dog out and he got the squirrel back out and I lost it again. Glad he’s a good boy and listened and put it down, but boy was he reluctant. 🤮 And then my stepdad suggested putting it in the freezer until trash day bc I said I didn’t want maggots. 😱 Don’t worry, I let him take it with him! 🤣
*shudders*
dead things are gross.
I believe this one was extra gross as I am told *most* of his head was gone. I fear there may be bits out there and don’t want to let the dog back out. 😬
Oy! Mine likes to roll in anything dead and we’re on a couple of acres so there’s plenty to choose from! I’ve had to start putting her on a leash when we’re outside so I can keep an eye on her, even though it’s fenced. I used zip ties and made little leash hooks everywhere we hang out (patio, pool, hot tub), then bought a 10 ft leash with dual latches. It’s been a lifesaver! She also likes to go after raccoons and skunks. 😣
Oh the zip tie hooks are a GREAT idea! I can’t even let mine out of my pool cage and even on a leash for a walk is dangerous because we are overrun with coyotes in my area and they are seriously hunting little dogs regularly. Always a new story in my neighborhood about it.
I put tent stakes in the ground in areas where there was nothing to zip tie and they work great. I just take her leash wherever we’re going to be and hook her up. We’re always with her though so I don’t have to worry about a predator coming after her. Just her going after something else.
That is a great idea! Oh, I’m not made for the critters. Nope. This was a rare occurrence, luckily.
😂
Mine are ALWAYS ready for food. I had a seriously picky eater, and finally found something she loves, so she DEMANDS it…
She would inhale wet food if I gave her that in the morning, but I try to save that for a treat. I think she likes her dry food, she just doesn’t seem interested until later in the day.
That’s how I do my guy’s meds. I get the canned ground meat kind and do a tablespoon or 2 and mash the pills in it. We keep it in the fridge with one of those can covers. Those are his favorite times of day.
Have you seen pill pockets? I buy the capsule ones because they’re the same price and twice as big. Then I just pinch off enough to hide her pill. She loves it!
I have had them before. I had luck, but inconsistent and then he eventually turned his nose up. He always found the pill or spit it out half chewed. My vet told me to use something that had a super strong smell, like tuna and that worked the best for us. But, it’s messy and stinky and hard to work with cold especially. And since we’re on these for the rest of his life, I went this route instead of trying anything else. He can’t see well anymore, so I win there. And the smell is just right. He just gulps it rather than chew on it so I know there won’t be pieces found later.
I’m surprised Alice doesn’t stick her nose up at it. She’s taking amoxicillin and it smells terrible, but for whatever reason, she doesn’t seem to notice.
Mine is wet food. Paul Newman Organic chicken and rice (and even their turkey and rice) – she loses her MIND over that.
I used to give her wellness senior dry food which she ate but tentatively for years, but the last batch gave both of my minpins bloody diarrhea (I dunno why???) and that’s when I decided the very basic canned chicken and rice might be better, and sure enough, both are happy and healthy again.
We give her the Wellness for small dogs, and tentative is a good word for it. I’ve always been hesitant to give her only wet food but maybe I’ll look into that. I know it would make her happy!
I posted this on Fridays post, thought I’d put it here too in case anyone wants to check them out.
Target + Amazon are having a buy 3 for 2 sale. You buy 3 books or movies and get 1 for free.
The Target one is going until 10/16 https://www.target.com/offer-details/629838674
I scrolled through 50 pages on that and added a couple, didn’t see what had been at the top of my tbr, so typed in the search for them and they were included! There were tons of good looking ones, might have to go back and look for the kids. Anyway, I got The Inheritance Games, House of Hollow, and White Smoke. I got to apply my target circle balance too. Whatever helps! 😉
Here’s the Amazon link. Bc I searched forever trying to find it. Haven’t had a lot of time to search on there yet.

Oooooh awesome find!!!! 😀
1. Went on the boat for probably the last time this year yesterday. Stopped at a restaurant for dinner and worst experience I’ve had in a long time going out. They didn’t put cheese on our pizza. 😒 That’s not all, but I thought it most offensive. Lol
2. Saw a snake skitter across the sidewalk at the rents new place. Will be most cautious from here on out. Harmless little baby, but it wasn’t in a cage. And it was fast and scared the crap out of us.
3. Got trick or treat in for the year. Wanted it to be our only, but I might be nice and let them do 1 here in town. We’ll see. There were tons of complaints about the heat and tiredness. We were done like 30min in and they were satisfied. Works for me! And I got lots of yummy candy! 😂
I’m with you. A pizza is nothing without cheese if you ask me. I’m happy with JUST a cheese pizza so… just sayin’
Agreed. Even if it’s just a little. I love a good margarita pizza.
OH YESSSSSSS
Don’t forget Lea Griffiths 4th book in the No Mercy series, Kiss of the Blade, comes out Oct. 15th. It’s up for pre order. One of my most beloved series finally gets the next book! I’ve been waiting a long time for Blade!
Thank you Robyn!! I’ll add it in! 😀
1. Watching The Chair on Netflix these days. Quick, witty, great acting. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11834150/
The whole family is watching Squid Games – one of fussy watchers in the fam says a top ten show. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10919420/
2. My daughter called me today about a couple things on cooking the Thanksgiving turkey. My 18 month old grandson had a meltdown – another call to talk to grand-maman. Yay!
3. Taking evening walks these days…warm breezy weather & very quiet.
Grand maman!!! That just warmed my heart.
We called ours “memere” and “pepere”
LOL
I Love Heather Graham’s Books.
