THREE THINGS:
1.) My MacBook Pro laptop (that I just received back because the battery was no longer charging and I had to have it replaced along with a USB C port) had a freak out again yesterday. Grrrrr!! This thing is barely 3 years old, and my old one from 2012/2013 still works to this day with no battery replacement as of yet. Luckily, I was able to find some kind of SMC reset and it fixed the battery and USB C ports so that everything was charging and working again. I’m not so sure how impressed I am with these new MacBook Pros. Something is certainly screwy (and I’m thinking it’s these USB C ports – I’m not a fan)… maybe it has to do with the OS, but within the first 2 months I purchased it, one the USB C ports went bad, and it just continues to act weird.
2.) I run hot when I sleep (most often no blankets on me, and sometimes, just the top sheet). My boyfriend is a burrito sleeper, and steals all of the blankets and wraps himself hard (I have NO idea how he can do that), but I found something that helps me (this fan), and I keep it on my bed stand. It’s quiet, I can choose a calming pretty color, and it actually FEELS cold (though I always have it at the highest level). So worth it.

I love my Yetis! I have 2 different sizes and the wine cup. I also have coozies by Brumate and a wine “bottle” that I’m obsessed with. They’ve come down a lot in price, but from my experience the knock-offs work too. We bought 2 “Yetis” in Mexico that we realized were fake when we compared them side by side and I love them just as much.
Plus… what’s cool is they came from Mexico. Great memories and souvenirs that you always end up using. 🙂
A day late (which seems to be my thing these days!)
1. My next trip is Athens in April! Another cheap flight fell in our laps a couple days ago. And now Madrid is on sale for under $400 and it’s taking everything I have to resist.
2. I made salsa verde flounder last night and it was so good! If you’re lucky enough to live in Texas and have access to an HEB, buy a jar of That Green Sauce (I like the medium), pour it in a casserole dish, top with cumin/cayenne/salt seasoned flounder (or any white fish) and bake for 20 minutes on 350. Then finish with lime and cilantro (and queso fresco if you eat dairy). I’m sure any salsa verde would work if you spice it up, but there’s just something about HEB’s version.
2 I also came across this tuna salad recipe that doesn’t use mayo! 🙌 Next time I’ll add the optional celery and maybe some pecans. I also use solid yellowfin tuna in EVO. https://bit.ly/3eCqXub
OMG the Madrid rate is incredible!!!! No wonder you guys travel so much. I LOVE IT!
Green sauce is my favorite (over regular salsa, I will always choose green). I LOVE Salsa verde. Walmart used to have their own brand in a “Sam’s Choice” jar and it rocked my world. They stopped making it, and every other brand I try is blah compared to that one.
I wonder if they repackaged it under another name?? I’m so sad I can’t find it anymore. So now I must find yours!!!
The rates are still good for Madrid and it’s just taunting me! 😆
