My November started off pretty great so far!
1. I got both of my book subscriptions in the mail today (Crime by the Box & Book of the Month). So I’ve got Blood Sisters, This Spells Love, and What the River Knows next on the roster.
2. We had swim meets all weekend and the kids did awesome to start the season. It was a confidence booster for my younger kiddo as this year he has to do all 50’s & 100s because of his age group. He’s been stressing about the turns and distance comparative to summer.
3. Watching a super fun Hallmark movie today, Never Been Chris’d. I’m ready for Christmas decor and such and am resisting big time because I’m reminded, “it’s not Christmas yet!”

I’m looking forward to a few days before Thanksgiving so I can put up my Christmas tree in time for the Thanksgiving festivities. I want it to be twinkling and so pretty that day.
And YAY for your kids!! I was never in sports as a kid (due to lack of transportation) and had to teach myself to swim (at the same time as my best friend) so it was a great memory all in itself.
And I’m starting a list of your movie recs (for myself) so keep ’em coming. 😀
I wasn’t in many sports as a kid either, some soccer, track, and 1 year of swim in which I couldn’t do a quarter of what my kids do. It all started with swim lessons and just not wanting them to lose what they learned. And then the excitement of competing propelled them from there.
I just bought a tree last night to replace my old one. It’ll be here before Thanksgiving to assemble. We buy pre lit and ours crapped out a couple years ago. We were replacing so many lights, it was nuts. It’s this one https://www.kingofchristmas.com/products/7-foot-king-noble-fir-tree-led. Not what I usually go for, as I like a fuller look. But, we have a really small living space and needed a tree to fit the area. And I kind of like how realistic and simple it looks.
My hubs has started putting up outdoor decor. I bought a rug that says Probably watching Christmas Movies from Hobby Lobby. And have some hanging ornaments out there so far, but it is work to take down all the Halloween and we have very little time right now so it’s a process. Buying turkey ribs and going Xmas toy shopping today (sale day!)
So excited for Iron Flame. I have it on preorder and a hardcover at that!! I think I will do a re-read of Fourth Wing before I start. So amazing to see former indie authors making it big and on the Today Show!!
