The author says:
The book, which I wrote originally in Spanish is being displayed and sold in some books stores in Mexico. The Spanish version has the title “Miel sobre hojuelas” – which is a saying that means not everything is as sweet as honey but that doesn’t mean is not worth to try it.
Recently, I decided to translate the novel into English because I wanted my husband to be able to read it (he doesn’t speak Spanish).
The novel transforms the reader as though they are traveling to Mexico to experience its cultural and of way of thinking from its people. The novel also explores the meaning of the family, from values to struggles and rewards.
Two sisters in particular fight to keep their dreams alive which includes a company business that is responsible for the fate of 25 families.
For Isabel finding the true love could have high price to pay – so how much does the happiness we long for cost?

So what’s it about?
The difference of existing between happiness and agony, between duty and being, between wanting and power, even though destiny shouts: Go on!
The story unfolds in a Mexico of colors and contrasts, traditions, culture and wealth of the soul, and at the same time broken by crime, insecurity and poverty.
Two sisters trying to run a publishing company, with a family past full of betrayals and sorrows, values, love, heartbreak, poverty and faith.
The meeting of “two broken souls and hit again; two souls full of scars, but for the same reason, full of illusions, irremediably united by pain and hope, by pain and the search, by pain and that encounter”.
