Book Recommendations

Our resident goof-ball, make-up advisor, and angsty-pain loving fellow reader, Amy ALSO has a list of 2015 favorites, to help us with our countdown to 2016!! Amy is one of my frequent buddy-readers, ’cause we love the same kind of books, with the same kind of tear-your-heart-out twists and we’ve been known to enjoy a shocking ending, or two. 😉 Tee hee!!

That said, I’m not the best buddy-reader due to my squirreling… poor Amy. She’s thrown a few peanuts at my head, ’cause of that. LOL! Sorry Amy! One of my New Year’s resolutions is to be a better buddy-reader to you. read more

Countdown to 2016 bring us Michelle’s list! Yes, we have two Michelle’s in our group (and probably more, LOL!!!) which is why we can differentiate with the extra initials. 😉 She’s another fellow book-stalker from our “peanut gallery” :P, and all around great-taste-in-books reader and what I love is that she recommends so MANY genres, and we’re just LOVING them!

Countdown to 2016 time!! Today’s “best of 2015” list belongs to MichelleS (one of our very own peanut-gallery-ers that has AWESOME book taste!!!) 😛 and from the looks of this amazing list below, she’s had a darn good reading year!

“Some of these weren’t released in 2015, obviously, but that’s when I finally got around to them. They were all amazing and I remember the details, and would reread them, which earns them 5 stars in my book.

Who wants to read some uputtdownable books? bev is one of our most active book-buds in the group, and she has found us SO MANY new ones!

She has amazing book taste (she likes ’em gut-twisty, like we do, but she loves SO many that we haven’t read yet and that are TRIED-AND-TRUE AWESOMENESS!!!) She makes me laugh so hard, and I just find her SO DARN CLEVER with her witty repertoire, her insistence that I read her favorites and why (LOL on her comments!!!!). I wholeheartedly trust her. I just know if she loved it (for whatever reason… I will love it, too). read more

It’s time for another countdown to 2016 post, and Pia has sent us HER 2015 favorites!! Pia likes the same fun, steamy. angsty, and heart-hurty, stuff that we do! In fact, I’ve found some of my absolute favorites in her list… and there are a few new-to-mes in here, too!

• She lives in Denmark and tells us about the book prices there:

“I live in Denmark (a small country in Europe) and we normally pay 50 – 60 $ for a book in hard or paper back. E-books are half price – around 30$. I have a kindle and by most books from Amazon, however I am kind of old fashioned and still like some physical books. It is cheaper for me to by books from Amazon in the US and pay freight, import taxes, import charges etc. than to by my books here in Denmark.”

Talk about forbidden love – no teacher student, no stepsiblings, no best friends younger sister etc. This is a priest and a new girl in town coming to the church for confession. But it is so good, so emotional and you really feel their struggles. You guys need to read it.” read more
