It’s Anna’s turn!!! She’s been power reading in 2015 and her favorites are an exciting mix of paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi and new adult (ugly cry books, and mafia bad guys included!!!) There are a few new-to-mes on this one!

A little about Anna:

“This year I was trying to finish up some of the series I have going. Of course I got distracted by the shiny new books and started several more series.”

“f I see a ton of status updates about desperately needing the next book in a series I put the book on my wait-until-series-is-finished shelf. But sometimes I have no restraint and I read it anyway.”

I narrowed down my top ten books of 2015… Top Ten 2015:

1.) Uprooted by Brenda Novik – Fantasy fairy tale like. Great world building tiny romantic element.

2.) The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, Book 1) by Brandon Sanderson – Epic fantasy with a truly unique magic system

3.) Dead Heat: An Alpha and Omega Novel (Alpha & Omega Book 4) Patricia Briggs – I love Anna and Charles

4.) Vision In Silver: A Novel of the Others by Anne Bishop – The Others book 3. This is one of my favorite series ever!

5.) The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah – Historical fiction WWII. This was an ugly cry book.

6.) Cruel Beauty (Cruel Beauty Universe Book 1) by Rosamund Hodge – Young Adult Beauty and the Beast

7.) A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – Fantasy a mix of several fairy tales.

8.) Station Eleven: A novel by Emily St John Mandel – apocalyptic science fiction

9.) Reclaiming the Sand by A Meredith Walters – a bully book. This time the girl is the bully

10.) Eagle Elite Series Rachel Van Dyken – I love all the characters in this series.

What a great list! Nightingale is still sitting unread on my kindle. I really need to get to it. I’ll read anything Patricia Briggs writes, so good to see her on a list. And station eleven! Great read!

More WiR love. So many recs for Reclaiming the Sand. I am going to have to bump it up. And a couple to look up, which is always fun.

A Court of thorns and roses was a favourite of mine last year as well. It’s fantasy, but there’s a great romance and sex scenes. Some of the best writing ever!
The Nightingale and Station Eleven are very high on my list, as is Uprooted, which was recommended by Karen Marie Moning.
Great list, Anna, I’ve noted some new ones, and pushing some up!!

You’ve got some major greats in here. Court of Thorns and Roses, Alpha and Omega, and The Others. Eagle Elite series… *swoon* If you can suspend belief, Elite becomes an awesome book. The rest don’t need the suspended belief thing, but are really good.

You got a few on here I’ve been eyeing. Honestly, I just whispered a bunch of new books. Uprooted looks good! Awesome list, Anna!

:D It’s my list! I thought it was going to be another Anna. Thanks for finding my list in the comments Maryse. I feel internet famous. You can put Penwick there if we need to differentiate between Annas. Penwick is just a pen name I use on the internet since there are several Annas in book blog world.

Everyone needs to read The Nightingale just be sure to stock up on tissues first.

Bev- I love everything I’ve read by Anne Bishop. With her books I can finish one and immediately reread it. Bump Reclaiming the Sand up it’s such a good story.

Tessa- When I told my bookclub about Eagle Elite I warned them not to expect it to make any sense. Don’t question it just go with it. I think the series works for me because it reminds me of several different anime series.

Anna! I haven’t read anything on your list! I do have 8, 9, and 10 downloaded though! Great new finds for me!

I’ve only read the Nightingale and have to bump up Station Eleven on my TBR list. I’m intrigued by Reclaiming the Sand where the girl is the bully!
