J.R. Ward’s NEXT Book Cover Reveal – “Lover At Last”

Here it is!! J.R. Ward has revealed the cover and title of her next Black Dagger Brotherhood book. “Lover At Last” the full length book that will feature Blay and Qhuinn!! Gorgeous!!! I kind of wish it featured… TWO gorgeous guys… but this one’ll work. 😉 Expected release date March 2013. BTW… this is “Qhuinn”. See his eyes? One blue, one green. It took me a few gulps of coffee before I noticed. *blush*

For those asking about the missing Qhuinn “features” (tattoos, chain, piercings) J.R. Ward posted this on her Facebook page:

“As I said, there are only so many details we can add before we crowded the model’s face (and neck) so I went with the eyes because the cover read as a whole better that way even though it’s not 100% representative :D”

About why Blay is missing from the cover?:

J.R. Ward: “Rehvenge’s book only had him- same with Tohr’s book- Blay and Qhuinn are being treated no differently because they are same sex- and I kind of feel that “chickening out” would have been a case of my publishers not allowing me to write about them in the first place :D”

J.R. Ward also goes on to say:

J.R. Ward “… I do think it’s going to be important for people to realize the story’s going to be written as it comes (came) to me, and that they’re not getting special treatment either for or against them because of their sexuality- to me, this story has always been about Qhuinn coming around and accepting who he really is and who he really loves- so the title and the cover was always about him in my mind. This is not to dimish Blay or his journey or his role- not at all. And it is not a case of the book focusing solely on Qhuinn and ignoring Blay’s feelings (because he’s going to have some big issues to deal with, too.) I just think Qhuinn’s the one who’s fought against their HEA and is the one who has to travel the most to get there. If that makes any sense?”

AND!! When a fellow J.R. Ward fan asked if that was an “induction robe” that he was wearing, her response was:
