Happy Monday!!! We have some GREAT looking earlybirds, and I get to choose my next read.
But it’s a hard decision to make. I have FOUR books at the top of my TBR list right now that I’m excited about and I don’t know which one to choose for tonight. Do I choose Sustained by Emma Chase (’cause everyone loves that one, and I one clicked it awhile ago), or do I choose the just released “CURVEBALL” that sounds angsty as HECK. Or!!! The one Amy raved so much about recently, The Female of the Species, or… now that book #2 just went live today, should I jump into #1 (Something in the Way). Four AWESOME looking choices, so I’m not complaining. 😉 I just don’t know which one I’m more in the mood for.
Either way, LET’S READ!!! 😀
P.S. In case you missed it, here’s my latest book review, I gave it 5 stars, and there’s a reaction video, too. 😉 ➔ Book Review – God-Shaped Hole by Tiffanie DeBartolo

Good morning! Somebody Else’s Sky is mine!!
Morning!
Yes, Maryse! Marathon read the Something in the Way books!
Without Words had my name alllll over it – and then I realized I have an ARC of it (and I better get it read!!!!)
Happy Monday! I’m in search of a good audiobook this a.m. to keep me company while cleaning. This book slump is killing me…. everything lately is DNF. Let’s hope I find SOMETHING to hold my interest. Otherwise, it’s gonna be “listen to Twilight for the gazillionth time” kind of a day.
YES NAY!!! Okay!!! I can’t wait!! 😀
I can’t listen to music because Chris Cornell is my fave and that will just make too sad.
I LOVE HIM!!!! My heart breaks for his family.
Leslie M, Soundgarden and Chris Cornell have always been forever favorites for me. My heart aches, too.
Just in March I was commenting on him 🙁 :

Oh I LOVE CHRIS CORNELL. Back in his Sound Garden days with his long gorgeous hair, and now in all of his handsome mature man glory.
He was (is) my dream rock star.
——-
Leslie let’s read Something in the Way!!!
Maryse, I was going to say that Curveball sounds AMAZING!!!! (Something in the Way sounds good too but I think it’s a trilogy)
YUP! It’s a trilogy… 🙄
Oooh, a new Stylo Fantome! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I’d one click but I did the update on my laptop so… *waits*
That is a book I’d buy just for the cover, Tessa!
😀 I like the cover too. I’ll be honest though. I bought it because of who the author is.
bev, Fabi, Tessa, and Maryse – did ya’ll see this book A Million Junes by Emily Henry?
I didn’t Ela!!
*goes to look it up*
I’m diving into God-Shaped Hole!
DO IT ROBYN!!!! YAY ROBYN!!!!!! :D!!!!
Ela it’s a sequel book. I just bought the first cause on sale.
White Hot!!!
How long have I been waiting? ? Yay!
bev, I read it’s standalone.
Leslie M, I was just listening to all of the tributes other musicians are doing. U2 did one last night, Aerosmith, Ryan Adams, Eric Church, etc….Ryan Adams did an amazing Black Hole Sun.
I’m waiting for the last book before I attempt Something in the Way, even though it is SO freaking tempting! Oh that’s right, I still have to finish Love Me in the Dark since I spent the last couple of days one-clicking and playing with and organizing my library instead of actually reading. Y’all ever go through those spells? Wanting to read and knowing you are in the middle of a crazy good book but you just can’t settle down enough to actually read so you end up just gazing at your pretties and moving them around in your library and updating book spreadsheets and…and…yeah, it’s probably just me. *snort*
And Curveball…oh man, my heart clenched just from the blurb. MINE!!
Also, anyone else keep hearing the song Black whenever you see the title Somebody Else’s Sky?
“I know someday you’ll have a beautiful life
I know you’ll be a star, in somebody else’s sky
But why, why, why can’t it be, why can’t it be mine?”
GAH!! That song always gives me a lump in my throat…
Oh MY I LOVE that Amy!!!!!!
I have to listen to that. Do I know it? I must know it, right?
I’d bet my next martini you DO know the song!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QV2iYFl5eSk
Amy OH YEAH!!!! LOL!!! OF COURSE I know that song. *hands over martini a little early in the morning but it’s 5am… er pm somewhere right?* 😉
Amy–I’m reading Somebody Else’s Sky and the heroine *just* mentioned that song! I LURVE this series!
I dropped EVERYTHING for Somebody Else’s Sky – I am engrossed and love it! I hate that it’s a cliffhanger, but it’s almost sweeter, angstier having to wait!
Awesome list! The Line by Amie Knight went live early today too and is the best book I have read in a LONG time!
Really?!? So there IS a connection between the book and song!
*sigh* The song makes me all nostalgic. Maybe it’s just because it reminds me of a boyfriend I had from age 16 to 17. We won’t talk about the fact he was almost 20 when we met… *giggle*
Yes, Amy! That’s where the title came from!! I don’t want to say too much to give anything away, but the heroine’s interest/connection to the song is explained in the first book.
Sharon–me too!
Amy–I just saw the part about what the song reminds you of. That’s very similar to the book! (except the hero is even older, and I’m not saying whether they are a couple or not)
Lauren, I am going to check out those other tributes. I did not see U2 or Aerosmith.
*gasp* Now I REALLY have to read it, Leslie!
Maryse I vote you read Sustained. It’s really fun, sweet and sexy.
I see Blood Oath the second Sawbones book is about to come out. I have the first one still on my tbr *embarrassed grin* Has anyone read the first one? Was it good?
I read Sustained at the beach. It had me laughing like a lunatic! Loved the entire series! Now back to my current obsession!
Wow SO many for Sustained!!! Okay I need a good laugh after that heartache I just went through.
Road to the Sun by Keira Andrews is supposed to release tomorrow. Shes an automatic one-click for me. Y’all remember Beyond the Sea last year? 5-star shipwreck. 😉
OH YEAH Fabi!!! I one-clicked that one for myself (the shipwreck one). It looks like this new one is not showing up in Kindle format yet… *sigh*
Is A Girl Like Me the conclusion or is there a third book?
Really curious about the song connection in Something In The Way series, since I love Pearl Jam. That was until I saw book 3 isn’t released until October!!
Cheryl I just saw that preorder too. October?!! GAHHHHHHH!!!!
Jan, I have. And yes I liked it. It does get a bit violent and the foreshadowing a bit heavy handed, but still I thought it was unique. Also be aware that some of the characters have prejudices and speak in ways that were common then.
Your right, Ela. I don’t know why I thought it was a sequel.
Sustained was so good! It had me laughing out loud and was very sweet.
I one-clicked Curveball and now plan on staying up way too late to read it. I have so many good books on my TBR, but I just couldn’t ignore that blurb!
Thanks for the feedback bev. I do plan to read it eventually lol. My tbr is mountainous. 🙂
Okay… my brain is no longer remembering things. I read a book a little while ago, and loved it. Then, book two comes out and I’m like, huh… have I read anything by this author? *reads the blurb* It sounds familiar… but isn’t that also the other book too… *gets the first book on KU* *reads the first four pages* *suddenly remembers everything*
My brain hurts now.
LOL Tessa! Yes that happens to me… and I understand the pain. 😉
I vote for Sustained. Loved it Maryse!
Maryse, for your own sanity don’t go looking on youtube for chris cornell videos because when you see him with his kids you will cry. I used to love watching them…now I am staying clear.
God bless his family.
I just don’t understand it, Leslie. He was a successful adult (a classic rock star forever!), with kids, and supposedly a loving relationship. My heart hurts.
Ok so Iv read curveball cuz that blurb was just itching at me to one click! But gah for me it didn’t live up to expectations borderline boring and very predictable! No angst in it and I love a good tummy turner! Can’t wait to see what you guys think!!
I appreciate your feedback Cait, on that one. Thank you so much. <3
Cait, that stinks about Curveball! I loathe boring books. I will try it sometime and I will dnf if it doesn’t thrill me. Sometimes having low expectations going in helps.
Maryse, I can’t stop thinking about Chris Cornell.
